So how well do salvage drone salvage? I read on uniwiki that they "can't salvage the most difficult sleeper wrecks". Which wrecks are they most difficult :D? Can they salvage all the wrecks c3 and lower? That might make things a little easier if the could.

Also do you need to train up your salvage drone operation to access the more advance wrecks (up to a certain point) much like regular salvagers?

Hi i have Salvaging skill trained to level 5 in this toon and Salvage Drone Operation skilled trained to lvl4.I tried to use my salvage drones while in a rigged noctis with 3 salvage tackle I ( dont know if they affect salvage drones) on a c4 sleeper battleship wreck and gave up after 5 minutes of waiting After that i never tried again.Hope i helped you gathering info at least from a c4 experiment.

Neither the skill Salvaging nor the Salvage Tackle Rigs will help the drones one bit. It should read in the dev blog that introduced those drones.

For sleeper battleships you'd need to be able to overcome the difficulty base -20, which means salvaging drone's 3% plus 18% minimum for a 1% chance of success. As the skill gives you 2% per level, the highest you can reach is 13%, you'll never have any chance of succeeding. As for the rest of the wrecks, you need a minimum of Salvaging Drones IV to be able to salvage sleepers at all, cruiser sized sleepers are just the same as frigate sized when it comes to chance of success.

All wrecks have a base access percentage - the likelihood that you will successfully salvage the wreck.
Small basic wrecks (Frigates and Destroyers) have a base access of 30%
Medium basic wrecks (Cruisers and Battlecruisers) have a base access of 20%
Large basic wrecks (Battleships) have a base access of 10%
Small advanced wrecks (Wormhole NPCs, Faction or officer NPCs, or T2 player ships) have a base access of 0%
A Sleeper Large Advanced Wreck has an Access Difficulty Base of -20.
