EVE Online: Incarna 1.1.3 Issues

EVE Online: Incarna 1.1.3 has been deployed. This patch fixes several problems with the ship hangar introduced in Incarna 1.1.2. The full patch notes can be found here.

This thread is for issues and problems. When reporting issues, please specify which client you are using (Mac or PC). This thread is for reporting issues only; for general feedback please use the Incarna: 1.1.3 feedback thread here.

I'm having issue with repair paste, repairs aren't finishing on grouped weapons, but I can ungroup and repair them individually.

Can you be a bit more specific? The problem we addressed was basically that when you docked / undocked then either the station services window (when docking) or the overview window (when undocking) could pop down if they were aligned to the top of the screen.

Are you experiencing a different kind of resizing / repositioning?

I never had this problem before the patch, but now my Station sevices and overview panel keep resizing all the time docking/undocking, plus the targeting info panel keep moving from top right corner to bottom right corner on undocking Sad

The last few patches I've had to uninstall and reinstall comodo firewall in order to get the client to run after the patch. It just hangs at the splash page. It is possible that this is only a problem with the autopatcher and if so, it may be older because I've been doing manual patches until recently.

I still have the problem, too...

It only occurs when in docking/undocking in ship spinning mode, not captain's quarters.

There seemed to be a (very brief) moment during docking where the station services window and the selected/overview windows were trying to occupy the same space, so they all rearranged to fit.

Patching went without problems, but I can't start the game. After showing splash and black screen, the application throws and error and "Closes unexpectedly" (according to Windows). Tried deleting the cache and running repair tool but it still doesn't work.

Anyone else with the same problem, or should I create a petition?

(Desktop PC / Windows 7 / nVidia / worked before the patch)

I have an Issue where I start the client up. The new build prompt comes up and just sits at 0% downloaded for a long as i have it open. Which is the same thing that happened to me for the 1.1.2 build. I have XP X64 and I know that was an issue for last build. I havn't been able to find the same fix for this patch. Please advise!

run directx installer to repair directx

i have had eve online updates that sometimes mess up directx causing splash n crash

repairing directx by reinstalling it usually fixes it

I play on a laptop, my issue is that after installing the patch whenever Im in EVE it flashes. Its like when you turn your screen brightness down except it alternates bright/dim. Once I exit eve it stops

Start client and nothing at login screen to update.

No little box saying there's a new build

Server: Tranquility
Status: Incompatible (Protocol)

Did the XP 64 problems from 1.1.2 not get through to the right people before they made this or is it just incompetence.

Updating DirectX didn't help, but updating DirectX and graphics drivers did. Thanks for the advice.

To nVidia card owners that happen to have the same problems:

Update your DirectX and graphics drivers to the latest version.

That's exactly what I'm experiencing after the patch. Before that patch? - no


EDIT 31/10/2011 18:30 UTC+2 : Without any sort of change from my own side this is currently happening less, and when it does is now just about 1cm move down from the initial position.
Doesn't happens all the time and I must admit I haven't noticed if it happened only being in random ship or specific.

Docking and undocking (usually changing ships) moves my overview, selected items, drones and watchlist (same stack on the right side of the screen.

Nope, it's the same as before the patch. When undocking in ship spinning mode the overview, targeting information and drone control panel resize and change positions. When I dock up the station services panel gets resized accordingly.
It seems as stated in an earlier post, that those 4 panels try to fit themselves into one screen height. (all 4 of those panels are located on the right side of my screen)

I just went ingame to get some screenshots - all of a sudden the resizing and repositioning stopped Lol
What I did is: resize the width of the station services panel so it doesn't have the same width as the overview, targeting info and drone control panels. Before 1.1.3 the station services always resized both in height and - what I didn't notice until now - width so it would have the same width as the other 3 panels. Try resizing the station services panel to the original width and height, then undock and resize the other panels. Should both stay in place.. for now.. I hope.. Roll

Your observation that the problem is that 4 panels try to fit themselves into the same space is correct, and I thought that I had explicitly addressed this for 1.1.3 (at least it seems to happen a lot less). It appears like I have to go back to the drawing board then and take another look at it.

Workaround: Go to general settings and change the "snap in distance" setting to "don't snap". It immediately fixes the issue for about 95% of the times you dock/undock, and after waiting a bit longer, it went to 100%. I think what happened in the timespan between where I got 95% success rate with it and 100% was relogging that account, but I'm not certain.

We've been looking into this but so far not been able to pin down what might cause it. At first we thought it might be XP 64bit but that doesn't seem to be the root cause.

The workaround is to manually apply the patch:
