is there any step by step guide to buying toons for isk?(as i find if abit What? when reading the rules) so i don't find myself being scammed and not being able to claim isk back

I'd appreciate it if you could add some information regarding Aurum. As it stands now, there is no way to transfer Aurum between characters, so any such currency will remain with the character upon transfer and should probably be mentioned where applicable. If this is incorrect, I'd love to know.

4. How much do I have to pay for Transfering a Character?


1. From what I understand, yes, as it is a technical requirement.
2. Yes
3. Since you are trading with yourself the "owner" really isn't changing so there is really no reason to.
4. For a flat fee of 20 Euros/USD or 2 PLEX you can transfer one character off your active account to another account.

If you need any additional information you can always file a billing petition for a GM to answer.


Just to confirm, if i wanted to transfer a character from one of my accounts to another of my accounts i would just take it out of the corp and stop its skill training then transfer it? I wouldn't have to pass all it's items and isk over before the transfer? just a little worried that if i do that i will gett he character on the other account with no assets.

Quick question. I upgraded an account from a trial to a 'real' account. How long will it take before I am able to transfer a character to that account? I keep getting the message "Character does not exsist... blah blah blah, something"

It should be no more than 72 hours from the date the account becomes a paid account. If you have any further issues, please submit a petition under the 'Billing' category.

We updated the rules today with the following:

21. The location of the character must be disclosed and whether it is in high security, low security, null sec or wormhole space. You must also state if the character is in space or in a station.

Can we get an official definition for the usage of the wrd "buyout" (Or BO or B/O)?

A buyout price is a price set by the seller, at which he will cancel the auction and give the sale to the person willing to pay the price. Like the "Buy It Now" price on eBay.

Too many people use it to mean "This is my offer, and I can pay you right now for the character" and it's caused confusion to me and people I know in the past.

How long is the expected timeframe for resolution of petitions regarding character scams? I'm going on four days with my petition still open (and yes its in the appropriate category.) I know I'm not the first person to have difficulties with it. I know it depends on workload, recent downsizing etc. but since this is a paid service I would expect it to be a bit of a higher priority?

So I was scammed 7.5b from buying a character, and he never answered back/transferred. How long does the petition take? Been 3 days, really need the isk atm.

To my understanding you pay regular transfer fees. Both toons need to be in NPC corp. Trade the first one to the account with the open slot. After that trade is completed, you can start the second transfer.

MB you would need to open a slot on one of the accounts for you to start transfering.

am I blind, these goggles seem to be defective...I don't see anything on character trading?

I'm looking to trade this character for a proteus pilot. Is that allowed? Or do I need to sell my body (sexy) first, then wait for the isk, then wait for the transfer to free up my slot then buy a proteus pilot then wait 10hrs.

Seems the only one benefiting from that transaction is CCP on transfer fees! LOL! Anyway, joke..so seriously

are character trades officially ok?

Quick question / clarification.

As you can see I've not created the avatar for this character. I would like to sell him and use this fact as an added bonus so the new owner can create their own image.

In this case, can I ask that the ISK be sent to a character on the SAME account so that CCP can verifiy if needed?

'Your account is closed for character transfer'

Been showing this for almost 24 hours now & have yet to see the character i've just bought....

Does it sometimes take longer than 24 hours... ?

it would be awesome if the opening post in this thread also contained some info for buyer not only seller.

For example
1. that buyer needs to disclose account name the character is supposed to be transfereed to, even though CCP advises not to do it.
2. that there might be 72 hour cooldown for character transfer purposes if account was upgraded from trial to paid prior to transaction

Please CCP,

I am trying to sell some of my character to reduce my account due to less playing time:

I did not have exprience in selling characters so i put price which i thought were fair. I have been accused of scam because of these low prices.

Could you clean the 2 threads as i followed rules, posting with character concerned by the sale.

or must i send isk from account where my new char would be placed?
