Make us worth something. Even on this test server the income rate and purpose of mining is obsolete.

Combat ships have it all
Industrial have almost nothing.

I may as well mine in WoW where it's actually profitable and has a reason.

1. The game is driven by a player economy, if they dont want what you have, you won't sell it, if to many people have what very few want, then it will be worth less. If only 1 person has something 20 people want, it'll be worth more. Its not up to CCP to decide how much item x is worth. If you don't like mining, don't do it?

2. Why the hell would you even *need* to mine on SiSi, its a test server that gets re-mirrored and everything is provided for you anyway? Just buy a coupla dreads and reprocess them?

Report bots. Your minerals will then be wanted... After of course the massive massive amount of horded minerals are spent over the years of abuse.

Only way to easily counteract the age of the game would be to bring in a new tier of goods to physically mine and combine with a greater volume of older materials as a sink.

The current mining amount of ships is fine. There is just simply too much floating around.

And an extra .5% in Mining t2 gang links is not so much an answer then just giving time invested in skills a bone to gnaw on.
New industrials? New Miners? So you can absorb more minerals at once and flood an already saturated market...?
You can't really "fix" and make mining that fun in some update. All you can do is mix it up like a new belt spawning system but at the end of the day, its just you shooting a rock and there is no wildly new mechanic on the horizon nor an old mechanic that needs new ships to do that.

New combat ships are helping you miners. Make people use up all those materials to build new things. The more things that can blow up the better, Need more things that degrade or vanish as well like ammo and anchored stuff.

so THIS!

Bots, both ratters in the drone regions and (to a smaller extent) mining bots are the reason for low mineral prices/ high mineral supply. Zapping botters itself would increase prices and decreasing drone drops would help it even more.

NO stupid mini-games, no captca, no recaptca nor any other crap spewed on the main mining thread in GD will help more than bot culling.

the .5% is basically a 10% increase in boost your getting, which is quite a bit, as for the time investment in skills, anyone whos giving bonus would have them skills anyway, or would atleast be training that way anyhows.

Tier 3 battlecruisers with more gank ability.
Barges and Exhumers still made out of tin foil.

Yep... untouched...

On a more serious note, what is really needed:

- More reporting of bot miners and better detection of bots by CCP would go a very long way towards improving the ISK/hr of miners.

- The T2 Exhumers need a power grid increase of at least 100tf more CPU and another 200-250 more PG along with a base HP and/or resist boost (maybe based on the Exhumer skill level).

- The T1 barges also need higher base HP and more CPU/PG so that they can fit tanking modules, just like other cruiser-sized vessels (you can tank a T1 industrial hauler better then a T1 mining barge).

- A big null-sec war of epic proportions to drive mineral demand up again.

CCP has floated the idea of changing rouge drones to bounty. This will alone cause mineral prices to soar. Yet I agree with the others. The best thing you can do is gather info and report botters.

If you can atleast make the botter idiots sweat they will make their programs less effective in isk/hr and that will help prices jump. Player based hulkageddons or other crap just punish active miners while the bot idiots just wait or quickly replace losses.

One thing to keep in mind tho is that Tier 3 BCs and Time Dialation = Big battles with ALOT more ship losses. I suspect that alone will help isk/hr.

So if you spot a bot. Gather info and report.
