As far as I can see, noone has yet put this in the original post of a thread, so here we go.

I would like to attempt to nail down, once and for all, the feelings of the community on the WiS situation.

Based on what I have read across the forums and seen in game:

1. We are not fundamentally opposed to WiS
2. We prioritise FiS over WiS
3. We would like to see WiS finished at some point in the forseeable future, not left as the proverbial appendix to eves station based guts
4. We would like to see FiS mostly to completely fixed before significant investment in WiS is made again
5. If you forced us to permanently choose between FiS and WiS, we would pick FiS

The beatings will continue until posting improves. -Magnus Cortex

More or less. Personally they could delete WiS at this point and I wouldn't notice. But I am not opposed to having it for other people, so long as FiS remains the priority.

Yup he is right times a million.

But once you have read it a million and one times the part of your brain where you start wishing for horrible things to happen clicks.

The problem is that eve is a very niche game with a limited player base, it has grown up without ambulation and "real" characters so the playerbase is used to it, to add it this late is a very bold move, if it had been in the game originally it would not have mattered, but to add something so late inthe game and so incomplete has sent the playerbase into fits.

I feel that incarna can be a very good thing for this game and maybe even attract more players, it took me a long time to try this game simply because it had no characters as such and i felt disassociated with my ingame persona.

BUT before they implement it it needs to be far more complete than it is, giving us a single player environment as an example of what we would get was simply put a stupid move, this is an MMO, if we have characters to play then we need the interaction, otherwise the incarna side just becomes a chat room with a pretty graphical interface.

Good point but I'd still like it to come - and as an ever expanding EVE Universe sandbox feature rather than cash transaction bolt-on.
Otherwise, what's the point?
