Okay see i have a horrible time at pvpa and it stems from 2 major problems. 1. I cant fit ships for **** and 2. I dont think I have been training the right skills to do pvp. what skills do i need to train to do pvp. also right now i only want to fly Amarr ships atm, i know im crazy i should just jump on the minmatar bandwagon but what the hell right? Also if you guys could leave a list of the best amarr pvp ships including t1 and t2 class that would be awesome.

First, don't try and PvP alone. As a new player your entry position is tackler for a fleet, so train those skills.

What goes wrong in your fights, what ship(s) do you fly and how did you fit them?

Build to have a massive buffer tank with high HP and resistances. Use T2 pulses and run with logi :D

This are the skills you need:

Amarr Frigate

Weapons:
Small Energy Turret

Utility:
Propulsion Jamming (Warp Disruptor)
High Speed Maneuvering (Microwarpdrive)

Tank:
Hull Upgrades
Mechanic

That's really all you need to start PvP. They don't need to be at level 4 or 5.

Start with cheap T1 frigates. Nobody knows how to fit a ship from day one. Read loadouts on battleclinic. modify them. test them until you die. modify them again. you will soon get a feeling for it. But it needs some blood and that's why you should do it in frigates and that's also why you don't need many skills.

Good luck pilot

There is no longer a "Minmatar bandwagon". Amarr ships rock at PVP same as everything else now that they buffed everything up to the Rifter's level. Executioner, Tormentor, Punisher, Maller, Omen, Arbitrator, all awesome ships that can lay the smack down really well now.

Get all the core skills. All of them. Everything that looks like it might be a core skill, train it. Get all the navigation, all the gunnery, all the mechanics, all the engineering and electronics skills.

Grab a punisher and get your cap skills trained.
