Smuggling in EVE (boosters, ship fitting)

I've done some searching for a while now and found a few of threads about smuggling, but most of them were years old and when I asked someone in-game about the info it was usually outdated (like talking about skills that doesn't exist any more).

I was looking at this thread recently; http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1301546

I've heard that Double Talk is removed from the game and you can't bribe customs any more (?). Could someone offer some tips on;
1. What ship should be used?
2. What should it be fitted with? (keep in mind this is a new, low sp character and I'm noob as well)
3. What should I do to make sure I won't get caugh?
4. Is smuggling boosters viable at all, should I smuggle something else?

No one's responded because the conclusion has been reached that smuggling in Eve is useless and stupid

There is no way to make it viable as the fast-to-warp ships (lowers chance of getting customs scanned) have tiny holds so you're not getting rich off this

Sad but true. Not to mention finding a steady buyer is a pain in the butt.
