I don't necessarily fly ships purely based on looks, but there's no doubt flying a ship that is both functional and looks great while doing it is a very nice bonus.

I have tried many times to make nice looking ships that aren't (or weren't) so functional functional because of their looks though.

Yep, I chose Amarr purely as they looked the best. Like others I avoided the Maller and went for Omen/Arbi at first, spent the first x months looking at Legions dreaming of a day when I could afford them! :D

Rolled Gallente because liberalism and democracy. Stayed gallente for the thorax hull.

Almost with you on that, but I technically picked one up at one point. I let it hang on a structure in a mission and die slowly. Did not replace.
