People like therads about politics espetialy if somone mention that goons die.

GD community like politics themes and battle reports, because most of GD users cant post in CAOD, some people just want to know what's going on, without study maps killboards etc.

Well is true that large amount of people are inside npc corps, but also large group of people are inside corps with below 10 or 20 members and they cant join CAOD.

EvE isn't game, its style of living.

Because you make it so easy to despise you. Everyone loves it when the arshole bully gets a black eye and busted lip and a broke nose in this case.

Actually, goons are more the bullied that became the bullies. Like Anaking Skywalker. All those good intentions and yet... Coming to think of it, thats quite tragic, isn't it? Fun Fact: They are ALL still wearing horn-glasses and braces tho.

So they became what they themselves hated the most? Poetic justice

But look at the final tally.
According to goon's Pravda, between the 2 sides, 89 caps and 9 supercaps were destroyed. (those numbers will certainly added to, though I doubt by much)

In the overall context of the order of battle, whoop dee do.

Last I heard, 168 supercaps engaged, for who knows how many hours, and a total of 9 went down.
What is that, 6%?

The fight wouldn't have happened in 0.0, it only happened because supers can escape in lowsec

Hictors can tackle super caps in lowsec fyi

I never said they couldn't, I said supers can escape in lowsec which is just what happened.
HICs can't be RRed and you'll invariably run out of HICs long before you run out of supers to kill.

Mysteriously, they're always created by forum alts. P

But i know goons hate attention, and would never do something like that.

I have a question...

There were Goonswarm Federation ships on both sides of that fight. Was it staged for the benefit of players (or alternatively, propaganda), or is there a genuine split in Goonswarm's ranks? Looks like your corp was on the HBC side...

I was just asking a question. No need to be snippy. Just try to stop me posting again Roll

You could have answered it and explained why there are Goon ships on both sides of that killmail. But what am I saying? This is the forums, why would people want to use any semblance of rationality or courtesy here?

The hive is seeking relevancy again, so a few big ships die. The reimbursement pool is probably so big, I doubt this will make an impact on it. Cool

The pilots are probably happy to have that character back....

I just wanted to say that this is literally the first time my wife has been even remotely impressed with this game. "Me and my buds had a roam and got a few kills" is nothing compared to "I'm reading a battle report involving some 3100 players."

Sounds like everyone had a great time.

Yep and that what it was. I woke up tuned into EVE and saw +2700 people having fun on a non-inforced node. Besides that thanks to those who streamed it EVE got a lot of people turning their heads as in wtf is that?

Loved it. To everybody involved (yes Goons too), you did a great great job. :)

Pretty much once a super is confirmed going down, all allies are told to get on the kill by agressing it, once they know it can't be saved, that way it appears as a klill and a loss evening out the killboard.

I see, thanks for explaining... so, why do we bother with killboards at all then? If they can be manipulated like that, then something is wrong with either the game or the boards.

I was pretty excited to be part of this at first. On the way we had frantic reports of enemy supercaps having closed to 1 cyno from the target, while BL dreads were forming up and TEST was en route, their ETA unknown. Meanwhile 5 CFC subcap fleets were mobilized to support the caps.

For just a moment, EVE was finally the game I'd always wanted to play.

Then, I finally got there and managed to fire 26 shots (with medium rails) in three hours. Next time we have got to do this on a reinforced node.

You have any idea how hard we try to keep Red Killboards..... I have to welp countless fleets just to get even L.
