Quite frankly, watching any sort of eve combat you're not involved in is boring (the alliance tournament might squeak past since they try really hard to make it interesting) that's why they don't use actual gameplay in any of their eve ads.

I've seen plenty of interesting PvP videos... they all involve ships BC size or less though.

there are people whos main fun of game is watching "ISK destroyed" on killboard.

normal people will never understand them. Cool

PS: in 0.0 blob wars "ISK destroyed" is the most exiting thing about battle.

Eve doesn't have any fixed end game, and you haven't been paying attention if you think that getting into a supercap is it.

edit: oops!

Agree with OP. If this is meant to represent a large scale war battle then....I am not interested.

If you found this interesting (I watched the battle for 2 hours) then you're used to getting **** on.

This had to be one of the most boring, mindless blobfests I have ever seen.

Shame on your for thinking this was awesome.

Shame.

Been in a lot of large fleets, sometimes had fun but the only one I've ever had a real blast, was on "Diplomatic disaster operation-shoot blues, tell Vile Rat"

That evening, playing Eve was fantastic.

supercaps are superfun for people who are supershit.

not even kidding, caps are a great leveler for people with no ability at the game as they require no personal ability to fly.

Why don't you just go save the damsel for the 7437th time, so you can affort to officer fit your Caldari Navy Raven, so you can go save the damsel faster the 7438th time. Roll

I had always long to be in a titan or supercarrier that in fact was my final end game goal to the point that if I had the isk I could run either right now......
After watching the giant battle I was realized just how boring that would be...

I just watched one of the most boring battles ive seen in awhile which is a shame because it could have, should been so much more.

You had over 500 CAPITALS on the field at once. 15 titans, 182 supers, 250+ carriers, 100+ dreads, and over 500 subcaps on the same grid....
Instead of being a glorious battle it was a slow moving blob....
FC calls target... everyone fires at target x super//carrier//dread. Ship dies. Next target in line gets killed.
Even without the TiDi at 10% I don't think it would have been that much better....

Where's the tactics, the excitement, the enjoyment of a big capital space battle???
After seeing what actually happens when you have an amount of isk that in real world dollars could easily buy a fairly nice car that took years of total player time to build you can have it....

I just can't see the fun in flying a super or titan anymore....

Side Note: Alt.... I am quite happy in null sec currently doing skirmishes..

Welcome to the wake up call .... now enjoy those small fights mate .Specially the 1vs1 you should treasure even if you did loose Blink

To be frank after watching this supposed "epic" clash made me want save the Damsel for the 7439th time compared to engaging in large fleet battles in low / null sec. How could you be remotely satisfied with the fight? You been **** on that much, friend?

All I could think when watching was....really??

It's quite simple , there are people who enjoy being told what to do and there are people who like to keep it small so they're part in the battle evolves around more then just pressing F1.Also if your in a small group what you do ''shows out more'' then when in a large blob making it more satisfying for the person flying that ship.Certainly if your not into sov stuff.

Is any of these two lesser/better?Helll no we all play how we like it but it's not because the OP says he doesnt see the fun in blob warfare that he should be seen as someone who dislikes pvp , is risk averse or is a hghsecboy. His flavour just more lies in small scale wich i can really understand.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Well, have fun in safe(ish) boring highsec, where everything is predictable. How could you be remotely satisfied with that? You been **** on that much, friend?
