More like everyone else jumped into the well and drowned both brothers as the second brother tried saving the first.

Yeah, that works too.

CCP. You offer a feature you call "Single Shard Server" and you can't deliver it. Today's fleet fight rendered the game totally unplayable. We had to wait 20 minutes to enter a single system, and when we did, the battle was so extremely laggy that it was not EVE. So we have a game in which the main feature can not be properly played.

TEN years of EVE and still you are unable to offer your paying customers an decent giant fleet fight without lag, crashes, freezes and more. How long is goint to take until you do something to deliver?

Can't you implement a system in which nodes auto-reinforce themselves when they feel overloaded?

FIX the fking lag already. IT'S ABOUT TIME YOU DO.

Quite an "experience". EVE is real etc etc

I was there. Sort of there anyway, in a laggy, am-I-really-there kind of way.

So I hear this is the pinnacle of EVE PVP.

Cap blob with massive lag.

Well, since they say themselves that they need 24 hours notice to reinforce a node, my guess is no, they can't just implement a system that does that. Good thing you asked them, though! They may not have thought of it!

I fired 10 shots in the course of 3 hours and my Rokh survived.

I find this unacceptable. Not the 10 shots part, the me surviving part.

Henceforth and forevermore, it should be official CCP policy to reinforce whichever node DBRB happens to be on. No, that's not a fat joke.... maybe.

Presumably you can't just kick all the other systems off a node. Perhaps it's something they do during downtime, that prevents the server from taking on more than one system?

Though I don;t really worry too much if a bunch of random people in a gatecamp randomly get DCed because somewhere Boat jumped a titan and all (very slow and TiDied) hell is breaking loose.

The thread answers that, but yeah, the remapping has to be done at downtime, hence 24 hours.

Yes but to be honest one of the key selling points of EVE is large fleet battles, heck how many trailers have it?

Then you go to youtube and look at FRAPS of large fleet battles and you just get a giant lag fest blob.

Edit: I was actually keen on eventually joining a null sec corp for wars but watching this battle on twitch...yeh I'm gonna not do that now.

i'm thinking about setting TiDi on all systems except one which got overpopulated to like 50% to give more resources to this one system if possible. Not sure if this is consumer-friendly tho

Yay! Someone abandoned a drone for me so i could get on Big Stick ... :) Poor old Razor Titan.

And as one of the guys there from the very start - the POS was a Caldari FW POS that Drunk and Disorderly (and friends) reinforced yesterday because they were in caps and bored.

We come back expecting Snuff and a bunch of other people to potentially drop and counter drop, but sh*t got real when some Leviathon (supposedly jumped through instead of bridging) to help the Caldari FW defence.

Escalate button got pressed and the rest on killboards... The POS might survive with its awesome LAG tank :)

Edit: Not FCON Leviathon as I said originally, but a as pointed out below, a Goon titan. Fair play to the Caldari - their POS survives - same time tommorow everyone? :-)

It was DBRB's titan specifically, he hit jump instead of bridge.

supposedly goons were going to hotdrop whatever fight was taking place there. he hit jump instead of bridge, the people on grid saw SUDDENLY TITAN tackled it and batphoned PL, then all of EVE jumped into the fray.

I think the pos actually survived because nobody bothered shooting it haha.
