Finding an uninhabited C1...

Is it even possible?

I know they exist yet I have never seen one, and I've been in at least 10% of all W-space :\

Would the chances of finding one increase if I stuck to W-space and just scanned down exits and went through the maze?

The first WH I ever lived in was an empty one I found from high sec.

Finding a WH with a C1 static would be the best way.

This.

Coming from my early WH days of living in a C2 with a C1 static we would find empty C1's all the time and it just wasn't worth our bother to sell them. So this would be your best bet, just scan and check the static every 16 hours. Most people living with a static like this will be at the early stages of WH life so they wouldn't have to many teeth to go after you badly also.

This is actually what I'm currently doing on one of my scanner alts. We just moved out of the worst C2/HS/C1 in the game, so I'm just scanning down the C1 every day or so.

well, i wish you good luck with that Big smile
i also have a C1 static and i have been rollin it for a month now. the only empty c1s i could find were one with a null static and one with hisec static, but with only two planets and those 54AU apart. all others are defended to death with up to three capitals, some with poses blocking all the hole's moons, territorial claims units, etc etc. crazy bears...

so you might try to buy one or pay the mercs to siege one that is not heavily defended.

You'd be better off offering a reward to find one. Get others to do the dirty work. Doing it solo would be a shot in the dark, and could take forever considering how populated wh-space is these days.

You could make a thread, or spam the exploration channel. Cool

Best to pay up after you've setup the POS mind. Some people might take advantage!

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

I've seen several empty ones with static LS when I lived in C2 with C2/LS where you'll often have a static C2 with static C1.

If you don't find an empty one, take one with a small indu corp and lots of sites in it (which indicates that they don't run the sites). Might not even be necessary to evict them, just move in and then offer them peaceful co-existence. If they use the hole just for industry, they'll probably comply. If not, harass them until they move out.

The thing to remember is if you scan from high sec most wormholes to C1 you find are the C1's static. As few C4-6 are willing to do logistics through a C1 static. These C1 wormhole are nearly all from inhabited C1s. The way to find C1s is to find a C2 or C4 with a static C1 connection, park an alt in there and scan down the static every day.

Why put up territorial claims units in WH space?

  • It's a trap.
  • Put one next to your POS it shows you've got balls. Big ones. Sort of...
  • It's an easy warp in spot.
  • It's a way of staking a claim. Sort of...
