Icelandic butter

So the other day I was introduced to this amazing butter... Smjor .. I'd never had imported butter or any Icelandic products at all for that matter.. it seriously changed the way I think of butter. Why is Iceland butter so good? Do you guys export anything else that is just premium quality? I want Icelandic Ice cream now!!

On a slightly related theme - I never realised that Lurpak was named after a bronze age musical instrument.

Like cheese, the flavor of butter is largely determined by the particular grasses that are eaten by the cows.

Irish butter is rather spectacular as well, but literally costs twice as much in stores here in US as our native butter.
