How bad is the "Blue Donut"?

I see a lot of players whine ... complain over the "Blue Donut", but how bad is it?

Does it not get more players into low- and null-sec?

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Should make for some interesting "side bars" at Fanfest, to say the least.

This is not about Goons or TEST.

It is about the effect of this particular constellation of alliance standings in general.

I am assuming it causes a stagnation and since obviously this is one of the most read complaints. On the other hand should it open low- and null-sec for a brief moment to high-sec players to enter into it and get comfortable.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

of course it's not, but a doughnut implies a solid ring, if goons and test are shooting each other there's clearly not a solid ring and hence no doughnut.

No, once you have a nice comfortable position and are making ISK quickly and efficiently with no threats to yourself, the standard thing for corporations to do is close their doors to all recruitment. Bigger slices of pie for everyone in the corp that way.

It's a thing that only exists in Riverini's head.

Really now. Nullsec should be bloody red mince meat and not a blue donut. Get it together, or rather, apart!

The people who take their pretend spaceship wars into real-life are the same people who don't show up to Fanfest.

It doesn't even exist, that's how bad it is.

In a pvp game, having no one to verses is frustrating.

Pvpers in Donut are frustrated

Pvpers in Donut want more to do but must obey

Pvpers in donut are hampered by epically over achieving politics and policies

Would feel sorry for them, but the comedy of them trying to solve the problem and being flogged for it publicly, is far more entertaining

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Did you tell that to all the folks that view EVE as a "career" or a "lifestyle", and only come out of their parent's basements once a year to make the pilgrimage to Iceland ?

Hope not, you'd be spoiling the surprise. Blink

Actually you couldn't be more wrong if you tried.

Now that we're not fighting over stupid structures which are dumb, boring and lack all forms of content or substance to EVE Online. We are actually shooting each other.

No babysitting supercapital fleets who do all the heavy lifting for hours on end.
No being 'staged' in a deployment system many jumps away from home.
No shooting billions upon billions of EHP.

None of that nonsense.

Now, the opposing coalitions are forming up fleet and...

get this...

Shooting each other!

The best part about this all are no-names like yourself crying and moaning about our agreement to not participate in the most moronic mechanic in the game and instead, shoot each other as some of the biggest diamonds in the rough of the 'blue doughnut'.

It's overblown by a bunch of people who hate us and "small timers" that use it as an excuse for their other shortcomings.

This post was loving crafted by a member of the Official GoonWaffe recruitment team. Improve the forums, support this idea: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&find=unread&t=345133

Another very, very wrong person.

We lost 3 supers this month to the 'no consiquences' and have paid out over 100b in ship reimbursements this month.

That's not exactly a small chunk of change or something to say 'lacks consequence'.
