X3 is single player and has mining so yes they probably would.

HELLLLLL NO

In X3 you setup a factory chain along with automated ships so you can go do fun stuff and come back to ships\ammo\money.

I have mined in single player games, so yes. And for the same reasons: to get stuff and/or in game money, and because I like the process of accumulation.

I think the last single player game I mined in was Starflight. Though that was wandering around looking for planetary deposits in a hovercraft with a battery that could be depleted. It was fun acquiring the wealth.

Q: What does IT humor have in common with a classical star schema? A: They are both highly denormalized.

Yet you still lost a Raven with faction heavy launchers on it. Hmm... I wonder why nobody ever told you that was a ******** idea? Roll

This is a dumb question. You might as well ask, would you do Level 4 missions (PVE) in a single player game.

Besides, mining does affect EVE as a whole. I believe more trit is sold than any other iteam in EVE. Someone is mining it. It doesnt just appear on the market out of thin air.

Why is industry and building so hard for you to understand? Is it genetic? Or simply RP gone too far?

Sorry, you didn't read far enough. It had Caldari Navy Cruise Missile Launchers on it. They were a gift. They were given to me by my mission partner who didn't think Arbalest Cruise Missile Launchers did enough damage. I don't use them anymore. On any ship.

Yes. It was my fault . . . for listening to advice on what ship to fly, how to fit it, and several mistakes of my own. That makes you God?

'Nuff said. But I would appreciate it if you, as the new God, would finally put me on your Christmas card list.

But you mine in titans, so it doesn't count.

Would I do a repetitive task, sure I would mine in a single player game if it served a purpose of mine.

You cant mine in systems after doing a unfocused jump, there you have to mine in a more eve way.
Although there it goes better then in eve.

I do gathering in single player games, most of the time I enjoy it unless the gathering system is annoying...

Also I would prefer to do gathering in single player games over EVE at the moment since EvE has those annoying religious folk that come around to your neighbourhood and try to force their belief's and salvations onto you, though the RL version's do not ask for cash up front nor want to put signs up in your yard.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

single or multi:

Coal, diamonds, Iron ore, netherack, obsidian, ect ect...
Like EvE, I mine because I enjoy it as a step to building something cool, wonderful, profitable, or different

Are you people really saying you would play AFK mining as a singleplayer game?

No one said anything about AFK...(well, cept you) however since you did... it's interesting to note that in Minecraft you can't AFK mine.

I'm sure that's not the only one either.

I dont know why, but i think mining in online game is somthing cool, just because your profesion got impact on economy, players, and your self, while totaly bored thing in single player games exept strategy games like settlers etc.

EvE isn't game, its style of living.

I spent man years building civilizations in 4 different versions of Civilization, single player. Picking locations for settlements, improving the surrounding territory, growing the cities, building machines of war.... without the 1st person shooter aspect to that war.

So, yeah... if that mining resulted in gathering resources that could be used to build things, improve my situation, ,maybe build a corporation of my own, like a civilization but of real other people instead of virtual citizens in a virtual city.

I played lots and lots of Roller Coaster Tycoon... and getting SIMs into your theme park and getting them to pay to go on rides is like mining them for money to use to build more rides and improve your park.. so yeah, I'd mine in a solo game, if it resulted in building a larger theme park empire.

Mining in EVE is not the end. It is a tool to gather resource, to increase my capabilities, to build my span of control, to grow my empire.

Solo mining? I don't mine *now.*
Why would I ever log in just to play with myself? I've got magazines for that.
