Please put more roids out im not paying to fly mind boringly around for much longer. CCP

Please disregard poster CCP I'm not paying for you to add more asteroids to the game when OP is just a lazy whiner.

/thread

Edit* Also, really, flying around in space is more boring to you than sitting stationary in space? Really? This has to be a troll attempt now that I re-read the OP.

Some timezones make it easier to log in right after downtime than others, which does suck.

Which is a broken mechanic.....Why are spawns done at downtime....a real sandbox would have roids spawning randomly....

i know, why don't we take the servers down every hour, on the hour, to repopulate all of the belts?

I'm trying real hard to come up with some way to work the New Order into this but... nothing.

A slap fight between the miners over rocks. Too boring flying around looking for asteroids so the OP can mine...yay, let the mining excitement start!

OK, out.

Don't worry, we're on it. ;)

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

My wartargets find places to afk mine while at war less than an hour before downtime. You need to look harder.

Hint: Spend some time learning about asteroid spawns at different security levels and in different empires. Once you have a good handle on that, use dotlan's maps to find the right kind of system for you. If you're JUST looking to mine, try being somewhere that's not loaded up with other things.

I'm sure the New order is behind this. Mining all the roids before the real miners can get there. Its all to stop them from being able to do what they most love.

If you have a friend or alt account with an Orca hit up the Khanid systems that have no stations in them. There are always belts to be found with giant asteroids in those systems.

1. Belts respawn at DT. Only. If you don't get to one in time, it's gone.

2. Belts, in Hi Sec, respawn with the same number of rocks, the same number of rocks of each type, and in the same positions.

3. If you kill a belt, or even a single type of rock in a belt, it takes 3 days for the rocks to get back to full size. IOW, keep killing one that was already killed, and you will get small rocks every day.

Edit: These rules are specific to ALL of Hi Sec.

Doesn't a grav site spawn somewhere else once you have depleted it or it expired?

If all else fails, there are still a few missions worth mining in.

Never done a grav site. They don't seem to be efficient uses of time. The only belts I mine during missions are during mining missions. Same problem.

Edit: Never done a grav site in Hi Sec. Sorry.

As a dedicated solo miner who generally can't log in until after 6PM EST, I fully and completely disagree with the OP. If finding belts with plenty of asteroids still in them is too much work then obviously mining isn't the proper career choice for the OP; I would suggest taking up station spinning that might be more up your alley.

There are more than enough asteroid fields out there that finding one with plenty of rocks left isn't that hard. If you are too lazy to move to a less populated system then take up scanning and mission running. While scanning can take some time to find a field the pay-off is usually worth it.

Also if you take some time you can usually find a couple of agents that will send you on a mission that will have a large amounts of asteroids at that complex. Ten you just run the mission real fast, change to your mining ship (do not turn the mission yet), mine all you want, when your done turn in the mission for a little added profit. BTW some of the best mission mining sites I've found so far was from lvl 1 missions which you can pretty much run with a brand new character; granted I hadn't really run many lvl 2+ missions so you might get better ore in the tougher mission sites.

Ya know... that's actually a really good idea.

Instead of "downtime = 100% respawn and nothing else" put each asteroid on it's own 24 hour timer. Time not dependent on downtime. That way personal timezones won't be such a limiting factor.

Note: Not as resource intensive at it sounds.

Maybe not, but would you be willing tp program it? I wouldn't. Far too many variables.

Those miners doenst care, they are good only to blob outnumbering solo miners and clearing belt after belt. There's no fairness and no chance for a "good mining".

I think CCP should put some new in game mechanic to halt this unconsensual mining. Like if one enter a belt then others need to have his consent to enable the roids for mining.

Or just make some kind of instanced mining arenas, where everyone can mine in the same way removing any risk of competition or interaction.

uh... no about the instanced mining arenas

you have missions for that if you want really

I fly around highsec ratting to relax and what do I see? Asteroids, asteroids at every belt I visit. Go a couple of extra jumps out.
