My point is the purpose of the Augmented sub is spider tanking. It's not there to keep fleets alive, just a couple of your friends who are doing the same for you. Thats why it also doesn't let you target as many objects as a dedicated Logistics ship. (About half in fact.) I'm not saying that It can't be used as one if needs be. I am saying that it's not the intended purpose. Thats why the resist bonus is there and not a transfer range bonus.

It's not losing a mid tanking slot for a high slot, the high slot IS the tanking slot.

It loses one slot from the tank, where it could fit a resist module.

Where do you use spider tanking T3s and how? Have you tried using spider tanking on ships that use close range weapons?

Of course it doesn't target as many ships as logistics ships, it's not a logistics ship. It's a T3.

i expect they will boost the range considering how much they overbuffed the t1 cruisers .... i'm of the opinion logi ships should be nerfed across the board they have too much range.

'Tech3 ships need to be put down, like a rabid dog drooling everywhere in the house, they are out of line' CCP Ytterbium Nerf missile range into place where is the TD missile change?  ..projectiles should use capacitor. ABC's should be T2 HABC and nerf web strength its still too high

I started out practicing the spidertanking technique in level 4 missions before moving on to doing it in WH's. You know, that place that T3's were designed for and where they are made. I paired a HML fitted Tengu with a HAM Tengu. Worked fine, including almost killing a Legion that tackled them while a Loki came in for the kill. Both my Tengu and my mates one made it out fine, the Legion was half way through its structure.

And you hit the nail on the head, IT'S NOT A LOGISTICS SHIP.

Nor should it be. But if the T3 ships are supposed to be OK at everything it does, then the RR isn't good. Hell, it's barely viable. That's the whole argument here. Gimmie 20km(ish) range and I'd be good with it.
