looks like a nice start - another thing that would be nice is icons on the overview where you wouldn't even need a info panel or to look at info - like wormholes for example - would be nice to warp to one and not have to open the info screen.

Please provide an option to disable all, if not, most of it.

It takes up space needed for more useful UI elements like watch list, fleet window, cargo, local etc. This can be very frustrating in PvP. Especially for players who don't have large monitors.

If that's what you want, just collapse everything, leaving just the icon strip at the top.

Must admit it does look good, lots more info and much better layouts, like everything you won’t please everyone but by making it more user selectable it should please most of us.

Just one small request from the mock ups of the panels, one shows a list of planets in a system, could it also show the type of planet, gas, barren etc. It would make life so much easier for PI people when setting up in a new system.

Though it isn't an info panel, it is about fighting for space.

Please make the industry window's smallest size smaller than it is now. I only use it for PI and the window is way too large then. There's no good place to put it when it's this big and still be able to see enough of PI UI elements.

This, in so many ways.

Most of my characters do so much in that panel, and having it take up a huge amount of space constantly is nothing but an annoyance for no reason.

6 planets is all we can have, but that window's minimum size would let you see closer to 20....which covers up the stuff you are trying to work on.

Thanks!

Great stuff, I was just irritated the other day that I couldn't see my buddies online at any given time, I have to round them all up in the same channel (and some of them don't like each other so it's tough!)

If you have them on your contact list, you can see who's online....but having the contact list as an info panel (very small or no picture) would be an awesome add. Note: Not as the mock-up, but as a separate panel. When "closed" it could just show how many were online next to the icon.

Squee!

No really, Squee! Autopilot being moved out of the Star Map is one thing I've been requesting for a very long time.

Idea from Kyra Quinn posted in F&I

When I asked about this in the Rookie channel I was told to bring it up here.

If you have a mission active you can see the selected info on it top left with the name of the mission and when you click on it it you get the destination and all that. But if I want to check if the mission completed (different missions have different requirements) I have to go through the pulldown menu, open the mission info and look for the big green text stating "completed". From what I understood the journal will also flash but there's tons of icons flashing all the time and it's not always clear what that means.

To me that seems a bit silly and not very user friendly. Why not have the mission name change colour if it's completed (green for instance, like the green "completed" text in the mission info window). That way you can do a mission, instantly see it's completed because its name changed colour and warp off. To me that would be so much easier to use and makes more sense than the current system.

Any thoughts?

Surely this could be tied into the new info panels you have (unless it is already part of it) Especially good feature given that is come from a new player as well!

Absolutely brilliant changes! Loving these!

A few suggestions to offer up. First, someone above mentioned showing the planet type (eg Barren) next to planets in the new panels. This would be awesome.

Other ideas: Show security rating of system next to the stargate names (maybe optional), colour them as per current autopilot settings and colour red for avoided systems.

Brilliant amount of work has gone into this and you've made it something wonderful by the loves of it. Can't wait for it to go live on TQ. Notification changes EPIC.

I like this - It will most likely take time to setup and I bet it reset everytime the client resets itself, but as long it doesn't take up more screen than before it's a very nice job making info more accesible and personal.

Thx :-)

i'm particularly fond of this image: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/www/newssystem/media/64141/1/GOD2.png

if the system locations can be clickable (ie for warp to/targetting etc) this could be incredibly useful in having a nice compact overview. Nice one ccp :)

That AP route plotting looks great!

Any chance of the seamless map making a comeback?

I am curious about what having the route line continuing to the current system's stargate would look like.
