... in a single player game?

this is a question mainly for miners - people who don't mine in a multiplayer one either i will take a no by default.

i'm just trying to work out if the miners WOULD mine in a single player game, and if not, why its different in EVE

X3 is single player and has mining so yes they probably would.

Minecraft would suggest that people don't really mind mining.

With the popularity of games such as farmville etc I would assume ppl would mine in a single player game. It's a grind and we humans are nothing short of masochists.

X3 is single player and has mining so yes they probably would.


In X3, it is possible to mod it so the mining won't take up my valuable time.

There's far worse games out there than solo mining in EVE. Games such as Garbage truck simulator.....you get to drive around in a garbage truck. That's it.

Driving around in front is only for low level of GTS. At higher levels you get to ride on the back. The endgame at max level is riding IN the back. Hardcore gamers only.

Don't forget Street Sweeper sim. I hear that if you reach the highest level, you get to use the ultimate upgrade.

If it was needed then yes. For example Mass Effect 2 and resource gathering.

Im a minor mining addict. I tend to do mining to produce ships, to sell, to buy plex, to run missions and incursions.

When mining i generally catch up with reading for uni and watch tv programs. Its an easy way to produce isk while not staring at the screen every minute (especially in high sec)

I mined in all 3 mass effects. Hated how they dumbed it down in v3.

I would. I like resource gathering and I really like the mining in EVE.
