I have two accounts, one is fighter (pve/pvp), explorer. The other one is just straight up mining/industrialist/hauling. Both fairly new, not even a month old.

Trying to decide on how of even if I should remap, seems like it would be ideal in my case since my characters are oppisite sides of a coin when it comes to skills (besides the explorer/survey stuff). So should I max precep/will on the fighter, and int/mem on the miner?

Ive only remapped a couple times myself, but what was suggested to do when you may have a long train, due to only being able to remap once or twice a year. So if you have a plan such as yada yada battleship 5 or yada yada large guns T2 then look at what the skill calls for ...right click info...look at attributes for the train...if its perception and memory or what have you....and u want to change to that...then remap and reallocate your skill points...makes long trains much less....implants can also help greatly..

You only get one standard remap per year, your bonus ones can be used within the year, but you don't get more of those.

Industry and support skills are Int/Mem and Mem/Int so the industrialist will probably have a year's worth of training to keep him busy. You will probably want to train mining barges and exhumers, and those are Per/Wil, as well as the Orca, and possibly leadership skills for Mining Foreman boosting, so you'll probably have to switch to Per/Wil eventually.

The combat character is a bit more complicated. You need to progress your ships and gunnery/missiles/drones, which means Per/Wil, but you also need to progress your Support skills so you can use T2 modules and open up the prerequisites for the T2 ships. Until you get to training Battleships 5 or large turrets to 5 (for T2 guns), you won't really have a year's worth of either Int/Mem for support skills or Per/Wil for ship skills; you'll be forced to switch back and forth and use up your bonus remaps.

Which is why I would recommend either keeping your current balanced attributes for a year, or trying to cover the best of both worlds and speccing Int/Per (it's a 5% increase over even attributes, mostly because you take the points out of Charisma and put them into more useful attributes). 5% is probably not worth a remap, though.

Keep your balanced attributes for the combat character, and train both support and ship+gunnery skills as needed, and then once you get to the big ship level 5 skills, alternate yearly Int/Mem and Per/Wil plans.

In general yes that would work. I would also suggest downloading a little program called evemon if you haven't already. what it does is allow you to create a skill plan for your character of skills you want to train and it will then reccommend a remap for you and tell you how long it will take to complete your plan
