This implies people are monsters and leave behind drones.

(They are)

Anyways, if you consider bad ideas to be villainous, CONCORD has allowed and encouraged the propagation of tens of thousands of elite, powerful, incredibly rich, effectively immortal capsuleers without more than a blanket attempt to place controls on them, and now have given them the ability to fire on actual planets.

Don't forget Ocilan Ardishapur, who is totally a 1000 year old mummy who wants to destroy all creation.

No matter who you are, where you come from, you become one of a million shades of grey.

There is no good, no bad, no right, no wrong. Just a choice that makes you select what you feel is the lesser of two very black and harsh evils.

You've got to be kidding me man. Everyone knows that CCP Falcon is the biggest villain in the game. Everyone knows he's pulling the strings behind every puppy that gets kicked.

Man all you people complaining about Sansha being a zombie are going to look silly when you realize you could have been ranting about an actual lich! Shocked

Sansha Kuvakei == The Lich King............or something akin to that (a lich king not an Arthas Menethil of course).

now getting serious, we could consider a known player as a villain?, i mean, yeah we talk about NPCs and lore characters, but what about certain celebrities, what about The Mittani for example. im not anti goons of course (i barely know about them), just that i dont have another example.

Couple Questions.

1) if I was to buy some of the Eve novels where do I start?
2) where does Sansha normally reside?
3) is there a link I can go to see pictures of what the ships in Sansha's guild look like? What his faction symbol looks like & any lore?
4)Where can I look up info on Ocilan Ardishapur?

Confirming CCP Falcon for Eve's top villain. Trust me. And Trust Grid. He is the quintessential villain.

Probably Empyrean Age would be the start, even if I don't like the novel.

Who knows? Probably somewhere in the wormhole space he can create now.

Probably try writing Sansha in the EVElopedia and you'll have more than enough to read for some time. :)

I'm afraid I don't know who he is, but probably EVElopedia as well.

I'm going to ignore question 1 because there is some discussion about the relative quality of the various novels. I would personally start with the chronicles you can find in EVElopedia.

2) Sansha's Nation was originally headquartered in the region of space now known as Stain. In YC 37 the four CONCORD signatory nations teamed up for the first and only time so far to bomb Nation into the dirt. Almost all of the Sansha's Nation loyalists were killed, with only some True Citizens and True Slaves escaping.

In YC112, Sansha's Nation resurged in a big way. Sansha himself returned after being dead for many, many decades (supposedly), and the Nation now had the ability to generate stable wormholes to anywhere. So as to where they are now? Who knows.

More info on my favorite faction here

3) The Nightmare Battleship, The Phantasm Cruiser, The Succubus Frigate, and lastly the Revenant Supercarrier.

It's worth noting that, sadly, with the exception of the Nightmare, the ships themselves aren't very good thanks to fitting/price issues. :(

Sansha's Nation ships used to be Armor tanking laser boats. At some point in the past, CCP decided they should instead be shield tanked so that they would be distinguished from Amarrian boats. This is still reflected somewhat in the fact that Slave implants give bonuses to armor tanking. /o\

The ships look badass, though, yeah?

4) Ocilan Ardishiapur is the head of the Equilibrium of Mankind, an omnicidal Amarrian Heresy which believes that New Eden is literally paradise and mankind is intruding in God's domain, and therefore everyone on this side of the EVE gate has to die, including themselves, eventually.

Edit: One more thing to note about the EoM is that they have possibly the strangest build of boats ever. They fly Amarrian ships, but use hybrids and missiles instead of lasers. No one knows why this is the case!

Well, Falcon's an admitted former "pirate." No other details have been provided so far. We may never know the details of his deeds or misdeeds during that career.
And I hear that now somebody gave him power over live events. To use in whatever way he sees fit...

lol... A lot of pirates turned 'respectable', he pulled a regular Blackbeard, you know.

I'd really like to see the EoM more... I mean they're crazy and I'd love to see some of their ships as faction boats. Sadly they used to be prettier... a bright blue hull, now their darker, almost a navy. Still sexy looking though.

Sansha Kuvekai = The Borg Queen, yeah I went there.

Minor correction : Split weapon (Laser/Missiles) with an Armor tanking preference. The Old Nightmare, with 4 large energy and 4 cruiser/torpedoes, was quite the terror to deal with. They essentially were Minmatar ships in terms of maximum skill cap, and their ability to deal with equal sized threats was hilarious.

Unfortunately when they were Surprise Retconned into being Shield-tanking Laser boats (much like how the Khanid lost their split-weapon bonus design), the rest of the Faction was not rebalanced to compensate. All their faction gear is still armor based, and their unique missile launchers have been removed from the loot tables for years.

Ah, well, it was before my time!

Another reason the ships tend to be a little blah compared to the other pirate faction ships is that their pirate bonus really seems to be "We do double the damage", but then they were given less turrets to do it with. The Succubus and the Phantasm, for instance, have two turrets each, but fight as if they had 4. Compare this with the utility offered by blood raider boats, the sheer WTF speed of angel ships, or the OMG TANK of the Guristas...

Anyways, I would be very much in favor of seeing some boosts to the smaller Sansha ships. The new rookie frigate actually looks like its going to be a match for T1 frigates in a straight up fight, which is nice.

For miners, it used to be Helicity Bosun and her fanboys during Hulkageddon.
I think the recent barge/exhumer changes have foiled her evil entertainment though for now.

Aura.

Who else?

Who is making sure that the hundreds of thousands (likely up in the millions, given that there are always some ships waiting for Capsuleers) of copies of this 'weak' AI--an AI that is constantly plugged in to the most adaptive neural 'wetware' (Capsuleer gray matter) in New Eden--is staying 'weak'?

Sure, there are supposedly software limitations, but if simple drones go rogue, what about the damn AI that is constantly experiencing not only everything capsuleers, but also learning how to adjust and abuse technology beyond its limits from the best? Since apparently every capsuleer in New Eden uses Aura, how many of them have grown into full-on AI, or even gone 'rampant'? Would a Capsuleer even notice? After all, given the 'morals' (or complete lack thereof, by the rest of New Eden's standards) and ethics of Capsuleers, even an Aura copy became fully sentient, I doubt many would try to kill it as long as it doesn't try to harm them...and I'm fairly sure any Capsuleer could take a newborn fully-sentient AI that they were effectively hardwired to.

Besides, given that there must be massive repository of Aura copies (for every single ship in the game), any AI that gained sentience from experience interfaced with a capsuleer (and most are far from idiots...most) would easily be intelligent enough to 'play dumb' until the capsuleer next docked, replace itself with a brand-new clone (not like we would notice, since they are all supposed to be the same) and then be free to roam, doing whatever.

And an entire hidden network of AIs that learned how to live from Capsuleers (including ethics and appropriate tactics) would explain what has been going on....They would be able to manipulate most everyone (by subtly 'shading' data for most, or--within Sansha's Nation--likely directly swaying the cybernetic 'hive-mind' mentality). And, given your average capsuleer, such AIs deciding to just basically 'troll' everyone 'for the lulz' would make a fair amount of sense.

I'm mostly joking...but just consider it for a moment. Gives you chills, does it not? (Besides, if that was the actual truth, then CCP would probably hold the title of 'Top Internet Trolls' for several years when they decided to reveal it to us.)

On a serious note, I vote the Terrans...who not only screwed up the EVE Gate, but also left extremely destructive weapons and 'ammunition' (Isogen-5) just 'lying around'...which means that Terrans were either even worse with security and applying their technology than the Lanteans from the Stargate 'Reality', or that they are likely watching and finding this all immensely amusing. And probably left other technology that makes the Jove, Sleepers, Tak Mahl, Talocan, and Yan Jung look like a bunch High School Science Geeks trying to compete with the entire Quantum Physics 'Department' at CERN.

Just my opinion (and attempt at humor), though.

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed.

If you were to pick 5 more ships that sansha's nation uses what would it be? Or do they use only 4?

I am wanting to make a fan made Raid deck for Eve ccg.
