I am not entirely sure who this is going to fool but those are in fact frigates, I feel this is false advertisement on CCPs report and I feel that they should change this to say Classic Frigates. Ugh

I don't really know what that means but there are special paintjob destroyers.

I believe Greenman Gaming, Amazon, Orgin and then one other one either Markee Dragon or Shattered Crystal, if you buy game time from them you get a destroyer book, a Cerebral Accelrator and one of four special Destroyers.

where do you find these deals on eve's website?
Also i thought i saw yesterday a link for a deal when starting a new alt account but i can't find that anywhere....is there a place where they put all the current running specials for users to view them?

It's an offer to old accounts to re-sub or trials to upgrade.

99.99% chance that you are wrong and they actually do give out some dessie.

To my knowledge, some deals simply give you a regular destroyer of your chosen race (Thrasher, Coercer, Cormorant, Catalyst), while there are others that give "limited edition" versions of the same destroyers. The Green Man Gaming timecards give an Interbus Catalyst as a bonus, for example.

These are all most definitely destroyers, and not frigates. Sortis Sarax, it would do well to substantiate your claim. Where did you see a deal that claims it is giving destroyers, but in fact gives frigates?

Lol this is an alt of mine and it gives you the ability to upgrade the account and CCP will give you 1 of 4 FRIGATES.

The Probe
and The Imicus

It looks different on my main account but if you are on a trial account and go to https://secure.eveonline.com/AddGametime/ it will clearly say pick one of 4 classic destroyers.
I'm not completely new to this game i do know what I'm talking about.

Sorry should've provided more details to begin with. Im going to go with it anyways because hell its still 5$ off but Im just saying I feel this is misleading to brand new players...

It says you get a free destroyer, and it has a picture of 4 frigates. It doesn't say that the pictures ships are what you actually get.

Yeajh you're right, it is destroyer, but I why on earth would they picture 4 exploration frigates instead of the respective destroyers? Sorry not that big of a deal I just thought it was misleading. Case closed.

I did the Destroyer upgrade. Got a 'free' Cormorant (standard paintjob) for 9.95.
The 3 month sub offer is probably a typo and you get a frigate with some kind of a special paintjob.

The ships on the pictures can fit guns, guns can destroy other ships, ships are destroyers...
