He didn't asked how many years he should do the same boring stuff. Maybe he's already doing the right one but the wrong way.

She asked, which was the single most profitable activity. While this may seem like a fun fact to talk about is it also not the best way to make a lot of ISKs and usually just gets noobs on the wrong track.

Just setting up a couple of Planetary Control Centers, which costs a few million ISKs, will give you a nice extra per month. Do this with all your alts and it becomes a noticeable amount. All for a minimal skill training.

You can then do the same with research. Maybe not in high-sec, but there are still some low-sec NPC stations where the waiting times are short. Do this for all of your alts and it is another worthwhile income. BPOs only gain in value when researched. Again for a minimal skill training.

And then there is trading with market orders. This too does not take much skill. It does not need 300 market orders, but one can start with buying dog tags and salvage materials, or anything else that is is small but valuable, and selling them at Jita. They are easy to transport in a frigate and as long as one doesn't auto-pilot can one move a few hundred million ISKs with it and make another profit.

Then start running security missions for R&D corporations like CreoDron, LaiDai, Viziam and Core Complexion and train research management. Once you have some standing with them can you activate their R&D agents, who will produce you data cores over time. This used to be quite profitable, now not so much, but it still is another passive income.

When you have multiple accounts then train one character to be a hauler and make it a member of Push Industries or RedFrog, or be a freelancer. Load up reasonably and you can make ISKs only with the auto-pilot and by running courier contracts, while you continue playing with your main.

Have another account idling? Then make it an Orca booster and sit in a system with an ice field. Offer your fleet boosts to miners and for a small fee (i.e. 10% of the yield) and you have another income, all passive.

Just don't work for your ISKs!

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Now obviously , to gauage that fairly and scientifically , lets set some assumptions.
It has to be a solo activity .
It requires less than 2 bil worth of capital .
The return period is less than 1 month.

SO!
What is the most profitable and honorable business in EvE.
Manufacturing?
Mining?
Pvping?
Ransoming?
Scamming?
Contracts?
Incursions?
Mission running?
or is it newbies scamming?
or maybe its something CCP never intended ... the dark arts ...

Discuss down below .

Trading in Jita, or scamming. depends on your particular skill set.

Most profitable is becoming the head of some major alliance, take over the valuable tech moons out in 0.0 and so on, and then reap the rewards of all your sheep's work. Heck, don't even need the moons if you have the right sheep, they will do anything and everything just to be associated with you. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

I would have to say anything but trading. That first list looks good. That is how you make money, doing that. Also trading is boring. Also, I think there are probably enough traders. You have to deal with stuff like arbitrage. Yikes, what does that even mean? Who wants that.

He didn't ask what is most fun he asked what is the most lucrative ... then trading is by far.Unless your lucky on a one hit scamwonder wich nets you 10B then sure that would work.

You really choose this from the list over trade in concern to maximum profit :

Manufacturing?
Mining?
Pvping?
Ransoming?
Mission running?
or is it newbies scamming?

, you must be joking.

If someone made by far most of their money by trading, yet did not want to attract more into the business, but knew that this was the way the entire thread was heading, but wanted to attempt some dry humor with a thinly veiled attempt at diverting the OP, then they would have posted what I did. I also didn't use the word "fun" in my first post.

Scared of attracting more traders?Impossible , 99% give up after a week then 0.9 % folds it after a month. We're safe dear trust me Blink

After reading all the above posts , I see quite a number of people mentioning traders.

Trading has to be one of the most mysterious art in eve.
You spend 5hrs a day ,following the market trend ,buying off all the NPC orders before anyone could.
You've made billions ,then what?
In all those time ,you could be alt-tabbed as you are doing RL stuff...
EVE isn't just about making money ,its about the excitement......
Would you agree that perhaps trading as a full time profession maybe a bit too far?

Because you're assuming you allways need to spend 5 hours a day for this.Since we got these lovely freight contracts you could spend a mere 15 minutes a day.The rest of the time do whatever floats your boat ...

How much can you earn from a 4 month old character ?

Depends what it does. I'm a well seasoned character farmer.

The most profitable is running a large corp or alliance and skimming. You want your skim to be enough to be worth it, but not so much that it gets noticed, or they decide to overlook it; then you can keep it going long term.
