POS deployment in 0.4 system

Are there any restriction?

I tried setting up a large tower a while back and the game wouldn`t let me.

i went on a break for sometime and i don`t remember the exact reason for why i couldn`t anchor in 0.4.

Could anyoen enlighten me?

Iiirc, they no longer require charters as a fuel, but last I hear still required 4.0 factional standings. Maybe they have changed it but I haven't heard of a change yet. So back then you likely didn't have the standings to the faction that controlled that system or didn't have the charters. In any case anchoring in a 0.4 system makes little to no sense for a POS as you get no more benefits than anchoring in highsec, but you can be attacked at any time. You can only moon mine and other stuff that is restricted in 0.3 and lower.

It was likely a faction standing issue.

My personal faction standing should be good, but my corp standing with the faction is average.


I`m not deploying for business purposes, but for combat logistics. The area is overrun by pirates and i`m considering deploying one or two POS in the constellation for operational purposes. One of the systems i`m interested in, is 0.4.


I`ll try again and see what happens- it`s been a while and something might have changed.

I will say that if the place is overrun by pirates I would guess your POSs aren't going to last long when/if you do get them up. But yeah, probably a standing issue

UniWiki agrees that your corporation's standing with that empire needs to be at least 4.0 to anchor your POS in a 0.4 system.

you also need starbase equipment config in your corp.
