Ventures have been around since december 12th last year, but it has taken until now for the BBC to notice them:

New venture 'to mine asteroids'

Given the quotes around the 'to mine asteroids' part, it seems they are, however, well aware of the Battle Venture and the Bait Venture variants.

Clever pun aside (heh), these "ventures" are completely outside of Eve, so OOPE is the right place. As such, have a link to the already-existing thread there.
