Whatever happened to regions of nullsec only accessible via wormholes?

A long time ago CCP mentioned that they'd like to create new nullsec systems that were only accessible via traveling through wormholes. This was about the time Apocrypha released. Did this idea ever go beyond scribblings on a napkin? Is this something CCP is still considering?

This question is mostly aimed at the CSMs.

not a CSM, but i can more or less figure the reason based off the numerous threads that ahve proposed this idea.

and that is, they woudl just become pointless, either they are the same as null, so just null with crappier logistics without jump ships. or its mroe valuable than null with limitiations, so you end up with wormholes with local.

the concensus usually ends with "do you just want more null-systems, or more WH's?" because having k-space only reachable through WH's just woudlnt work.

(firgive typing, 53rd hour awake and i can barely type on a kindle)

IMO is like a mix of both in one. Nullsec systems that are difficult to reach and limited need for capital ships. Certainly no hot drops or several hundred supercap blobfests. I'd actually consider nullsec as a viable gameplay choice if we had this. Nullsec as it is now.... bleh no thanks.

Why not have a selection of different sec status systems available only via WH...
I would find a nice <0.3 system to make boosters in.
