I would have to say anything but trading. That first list looks good. That is how you make money, doing that. Also trading is boring. Also, I think there are probably enough traders. You have to deal with stuff like arbitrage. Yikes, what does that even mean? Who wants that.

He didn't ask what is most fun he asked what is the most lucrative ... then trading is by far.Unless your lucky on a one hit scamwonder wich nets you 10B then sure that would work.

You really choose this from the list over trade in concern to maximum profit :

Manufacturing?
Mining?
Pvping?
Ransoming?
Mission running?
or is it newbies scamming?

, you must be joking.

This. People have pulled off some pretty epic corporate cleanouts in less than a month.

EvE is supposed to suck.  Wait . . . what was the question?

Probably trading and high level scamming - just like in every other virtual and the real world.

If someone made by far most of their money by trading, yet did not want to attract more into the business, but knew that this was the way the entire thread was heading, but wanted to attempt some dry humor with a thinly veiled attempt at diverting the OP, then they would have posted what I did. I also didn't use the word "fun" in my first post.

I'm Ignoring the prereqs listed by OP : Trading (for high rollers/good traders) >>> Scamming > Multibox Nullsec Ratting (like seriously, 250-300mil/hr stuff, constantly, without moving systems, trading LPs or anything) > C5s (or C6s if you're really good) > FW Farming > Solo Nullsec Ratting > Production/Research > Trading (for average duders) > C4s > Incursions > Missions > everything else.

My take, also, as said it's more about what you like rather than how many iskies you make, just sayin.

The most lucrative career in Eve is by far "Professional Forum Troll".

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Buying plex and selling them Straight

The margin for ONE plex is pretty slim :P
At best 40 mil difference and that at best will yield 200 mil from 2 bil capital ....
Thats a 10% P/E ratio :P

your right but what your missing here is volume. Whats if you were able to do that trade every hour? Just like interest it starts to compound, soon you will have 3bil and your yield is 300mil.

The point is for the time/effort to profit ratio, Station trading is the most lucrative career. However its only the "best" if your goal is to make as much isk as fast as possible.

I also know people who make a Bil or more in other ways. exploration, manufacturing, ect. Honestly Pick something you enjoy doing and do it to the max. For example: like PI? make 25 alts and PI all over the place you can make billions. Like level 4 missions? After 1 toon get a 2nd, learn which missions to skip, max out your ship, ect. you can make billions.

After reading all the above posts , I see quite a number of people mentioning traders.

Trading has to be one of the most mysterious art in eve.
You spend 5hrs a day ,following the market trend ,buying off all the NPC orders before anyone could.
You've made billions ,then what?
In all those time ,you could be alt-tabbed as you are doing RL stuff...
EVE isn't just about making money ,its about the excitement......
Would you agree that perhaps trading as a full time profession maybe a bit too far?

You asked what would have the greatest returns for less than 2 billion capital that can be done solo in a return period of one month. This is about the moolah, not the fun. And base trading is where it is at.
