No - you're not. That's actually forbidden across the forums.

Please help us by reporting any threads or posts that break the rules. As you're no doubt aware, this section of the forums is very busy and we just can't always see problems when they happen.

Any help you can give us is gratefully received!

I notice that no where have I seen it said that you have to declare whether the character is currently considered at war withou anyone. For instance a character of mine I am selling has 4 active wars that will expire in 6 days, I checked the rules and did not see anything about having to disclose that information. While I intend to do so anyways, I feel that if I were someone buying a character this would be good information to have, wouldn't change whether I would buy it or not, but would certainly mean I would not immediately undock from Jita 4-4 in a faction fit Nightmare. I think adding a rule requiring disclosure of any active wars would be helpful for prospective buyers.

can a toon be sold if it has a bounty on it... asked 12 b for mine he offered 5b told him it was to low so he/she put it on me..question is can I sell it or not with a bounty on it or not without problems..thanks

I a little confused on a few things so ill just explain my senerio. Started playing in 05 with a real life friend. We both quit, now I have come back and he is not going to come back. I would like to take over a toon on his account, and he is fine with that. So if i understand this correctly, he will need to activate his account, and I will need to start a new account (becuase I want both online at same time) then go through the transfer process? Is this correct or is there a better way that is lagit? Or is somthing like this even allowed?

Please be aware of an update to the rules that was made today. The following entry is new:

"You must disclose if there are kill rights on the character for sale. Kill rights you possess on other characters are to be treated as assets and not included in the character listing."

Hi ,

i wanted to sale this Character to a Reallife Friend as a Private Sale , have i to open a extra Thread for this ?
I will pay the Fee , thats not the problem . But the answer that i have to open a Thread is the Problem .

The best way is i Transfer the Character and it is good .

We agreed with the Transfer of Course.

Anyone know what is to do ? We would like to make nothing wrong .

No one knows a answer ? Then i make a Thread as the other "Private Sale" Thread an Transfer the Character to my RL Friend. Hope it will be OK so .

Recently a character tried applying to my corp with a newly bought character at the bazarr, during which the character was passing himself off as the previous owner of the pilot.


Under the eula it states

under accounts and names part b.

No player may use the character name of another player to impersonate or falsely represent his or her identity.


also under the rules here in this forum it clearly states to the buyers that they can not be used for the purpose to impersonate someone whom they are not.

8. The new owner of the character may NOT pass himself off as any previous owner.




As it appears to me the capsuleer bought the character, to impersonate it (which is not allowed). to then continuously falsely represent his identity (which is not allowed), to harrass another corporation.


So to repeat my question is, after buying a character, using the characters employment history and age to represent some one they are not, is that a petionable offense.

If you are looking to buy a specific character...say it's got the name sake of your favorite TV show character and you just MUST have your very own "Sheldon Cooper" in EVE, are you permitted to contact that character directly to assess interest before moving over to the Bazaar for more direct negotiation?

Sold my char, transferred it to new owner, but accidentally forgot to send the ISK he payd me to another char. Made a petition about it, its now 2 days past, and no answer from the Customer Support, nor the guy who bought the char. How long does it usually take to review a ticket?

The rules have been updated. Clause number 5 received the following addition:

"A seller must disclose whether jump clones are located in 0.0, lowsec or highsec space."
