Attacking a certain NPC (it was a pirate officer that didn't spawn in belts or anywhere else) in a certain pirate cosmos mission had a chance of dropping officer loot that was one of a kind (well, two of a kind - the first person to do it got a mod that got sucked up a collector and never seen again).

Of course, being as lucky as I am, I got tags and ammo but I did get "A really really really Clueless Tourist" from blowing up a structure in the same mission.

I keep that in my hanger to remind me of the time I could have gotten Makur's modified power diagnostic system, but didn't.

Stole a mission item the other day. Mission runner shot me, I pointed him. Ransomed him his mission item back. Blew him up.

Mission item dropped again \o/

Back when I was playing for about a month I was ratting in the old NRdS provi space and got a T2 OmegaSlave implant. Not knowin what it was I flew around with it in cargo for about 4 hours in null sec before I checked contracts and it was 1.2 bil.

That's ******* broken.
I've had officer drops that were worth less.

Don't worry. I've only had anything like it happen once in 3 years. Daredevil BPC.

edit: Not a loot drop, but once when opening a blue can at a gate, it contained three 6-Packs of Quafe Zero !

Somehow in my first month or so I go a faction (don't remember which) ballistic control (100mil). Not know what I was doing I fitted it on my Corm for it's single missile launcher and got blowed up. My killer took pity on my ignorance/stupidity/whichever and sent me 50mil.

Thanks again random killer. I only had a mil or 2 at the time. That death really got me started.

Don't know about the head in a jar, but that 'Red' guy is a mission item from the start of the SoE epic arc.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Test bong is best bong. I've found something called an inquest drone, a broken cloaking device and a ton of heads in jars.
Best drop would be doing a Serpentis Den escalation and having the Overseer drop a Vigilant BPC and four or five faction mods - total value 1 billion.

Not really a loot drop, but a few years ago i was playing around in tama with some cheap cruisers, and there was a jet can on gate that said 'a-type mwd's'. Of course i dismissed it as some kind of attempt to get people off gate or to get a flashy red so somebody didnt take gate guns, or just random tama sillyness.

Maybe an hour later as the system started to quiet down, i found myself alone on gate, and decided to scoop all the cans so nobody could use em as warpins. To my surprise, the can labeled 'a-type mwds' contained 2 1mn 2 10mn and 2 100mn a-type mwds. Not only did it completely baffle me as to what they were doing in tama, in a labeled jet can (not secure can from a hauler) on a gate. And the funniest part is that the can was there for well over an hour, and probably hundreds of people came through that gate, but we were all too jaded and e-serious to check the can. Had i not decided to pop warpin spots, that can probably would have despawned on the gate without ever being opened.

Such is life in Eve, never know what will happen =)

Found over 2b worth of loot of someone who had just died on a gate in highsec, there was only like 4 other people in local.
Scooped it up. It was officer gyrostabs and other goodies.

My feeling too. Ive seen dozens of the faction rat spawns. Normally you get faction small ammo and maybe a tag. Once in awhile you get something better. The 600 mil item I found is sort of the far end of the normal curve. Also as its been this way for a long time CCP certainly knows about it, so its working as intended.

For some reason my sister (yes my RL sister) loves ratting and has found close to a dozen implants from high sec rats, the best being 100 mil.
