bubbles serve different purpose, and yes you could use them to keep fleet on grid for half an hour before the structure goes online

exactly, that's the whole point of the idea. the caps get committed to a fight, so people don't just throw them around. deploying them will require careful planning, and there will be consequences.

the structure is invulnerable until ihub is dead, so if they want to get the caps out, they either have to shoot the ihub with all it's reinforce timers, or wait until the owners of the system let them out.

What.

Cyno generators, jump bridges, POCOs, POS, outposts and cyno jammers are all able to be destroyed without dropping the ihub, why should this thing be different to everything else?

Oh, right. You want to make it literally impossible to grind sov with caps. Alright then.

Quoting something I found via google (It's from 2010, but the numbers are still relevant as far as I'm aware.):

Quote:
A TCU has 20 mil HP, a IHub has 112.5 mil HP, and a station 350 mil HP, for a total of 482.5 mil HP. To kill these structures, our fledgling alliance is going to have to use battleships. We'll assume each battleship can do on average about 600 DPS. You're going to need ~200 man hours and 4 ops to grind through this one undefended station system (initial reinforcement, ihub shield, ihub armor+station armor, station armor). Assume each op is going to last an average of an hour, you need a fleet of 56 people for each one.

Suppose each pilot plays an average of 3 hours a day, and by some miracle you've gotten perfectly even timezone coverage (which you're going to need because at least half your reinforcement cycles are not going to be in your prime, since it's trivial to time stations), and 50% (!) participation. You will then need an alliance of ~1340 pilots, which would put our hypothetical new players around the 25th biggest alliance, between Ev0ke and White NoiseDOT.

All to take an undefended station system.

Adding in the EHP of your new module, you're probably talking five hundred million EHP to grind through.

In Every station system.

In Subcaps.

Do you have even the slightest clue how boring that will be?

ANY attempt to take territory will fail.
