Its time to nerf NPCs. They have more hitpoints than necessary: http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/npc_ships.php?supergroup=5&return_to=
The devs should reduce the hit points of NPCs by about 15% After all the NPCs are smarter now.
So why so many hit points?

Looks fine to me.

Put more DPS onto your ship. The faster you kill them the less damage they can deal. Don't try to tank entire blobs of NPCs, but kill them fast.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

They need to trim some of that EHP back on those ships.

Use a higher DPS ship. I see no problem. If anything NPCs need more DPS.

Sure they could, but then they also could use less EHP. Is there an obvious reason why they should have so many hitpoints?

so that you actually need a ship with more firepower than a cantaloupe to kill them?

I vote to have CCP remove NPCs from the game.

That way OP will not have to deal with NPCs with too many hitpoints.

No so that ship fits are not PVE reliant to kill everything. NPC EHP need a nerf.

Nope NPCs are a necessary game mechanic. They just need a little nerf lovin'

ok, if missions need anything it's a buff. what does "fits are not pve reliant to kill anyhting" even mean? just because you can't do missions well for some reason doesn't mean they need a nerf. I can alpha mission cruisers with a HM tengu. they need to be buffed so that mission runners can actually be introduced to some rudimentary pvp mechanics, instead of just killing little under powered mortals in their ROFLSTOMPBBQRAPE mission running ships

What you are talking about doesn't exist. NPCs need a EHP nerf. They have more EHP than is reasonable. Why are you pulling the mission runner into it? That's fine that you don't care about NPC EHP but they need a reduction, I'm sure you will thank me for it later.

they have about half of the EHP as a well fit T1 pvp frigate. I'm just proposing that mission rats are more powerful tank and damage wise and that their numbers are reduced to at least make missions a little more like PVP

Well missions have a lore side to them too believe it or not. It would be a shame to waste all that writing and they would have to bring the loot drops more inline with PVP and also the salvage. It would be easier for them to reduce the EHP. BTW ships should have less than a properly fit T1 frig, the empires don't have the isk like the capsuleers do to fit all their ships like capsuleers do.

They are more heavily shielded and armored, but do considerably less damage than the capsuleer equivalent. I would assume this is because NPC ships have full human crews that they need to protect, while the majority of work on a capsuleer ship is done autonomously.

You have a human crew too. Thats not an obvious reason, so EHP on npcs needs a nerf.

you still haven't supplied a legitimate reason to nerf npc hitpoints.

As long as you nerf their bounties accordingly.

NPCs should be removed, they cause lag, instead kindly give mission runners the ISK they would receive just by solving a magic eye puzzle

Sure I don't have a problem with that at all. I just don't see why a NPC should be flying around in an uber ship. 15%-20% on both bounty and hit points would be fair I think.
