Do not buy faction officers mods on your main character, if you plan run missions with fited officer modules, buy items on any of your character in main account but not using main character, next use private contract from sub character on existed account to main character.

Here we go, player x set order with expensive item on market when you buy it you become potential victim of wardec, or kamikaze, after player x cheking own wallet transaction he know who buy stuf, from this moment you are war dec target just because they know you probably use other officer stuf etc.

Here example.
Look at frist coment on this kill mail, now you know...

Why would you fit officer modules to a mission running ship?

officer mods are known carebear bait, same with X and A types... no reason to fit those unless its on a Super.

not even those Atype machs/Nmares are necessary... and dont get me started on the 10kehp 4bill tengus. Straight

It's good to see that av ra picked back up and got on the horse after Kai's lack of loyalty showed once again. Good on you, bud, for more than making up for the Vindicator loss! May you fly many more with kills like this. :)

Leadership is something you learn. Maybe one day, you'll learn that.

Others have said it, but it bears repeating:

What the Hell would you ever need officer mods on a mission-ship for?

Faction BCU'ed/small complex shield-booster Tengu (Pithi C-Type small + T II or CalNavy SBA works just fine) --yes, even after the not really a nerf per se but still needless HM change-- all the rest T II, is all you'll ever need.

Or all T II Vargur or Machi.

Or even all T II/tech I/non-faction BS, though high skills will be needed to make up for their lack of pimp-uberness.

Anyone who stuffs their ships with purple in this game deserves what they're going to get....And EVE being EVE insures that they will get it, sooner or later.

The only reason I can think of is that it is possible to fit an office web on a marauder and get 19km 90% webs.

Not that this is a great reason, but it's the only one I can think of.

Carebear logic: Officer mods are the rarest, most expensive, purple-est things available. They are clearly the end-game fitting for a mission boat. Why else would they cost so much?

Officer/deadspace mods fitted on a mission boat?

Shenanigans. Shenanigans, says I.

well, tbh, it helps doing missions faster, ths improving your isk/hour ratio, so why not?

i do it with my mach, have a couple factions mods on it (lowslots), and an officier (low end) XL shield booster i found for 150M.

all in al it is not that much off an expansive fit, and still is a big boost vs a full T2 fit.

and my point of view is that the extra income i get is worth the investment and the risk.

of ourse i know that i'll probably loose it someday, and hence, that's how the game works, as soon as i undock i accept i could loose it, but so far, i've covered the extra cost and make more isk, so it's worth it

btw it is not a ridiculous expansive one, ship + hull might be somwhere around 1.8-2B (with the hull itself beeing 1.2b), and while i could being alphaed, i know the mechanics well enought to avoid any form of grieffing, so only an alpha fleet could kill me, provided they lock fast enought b4 i w/o... or can track me well enought

I've only ever seen officer modules on the market. What would be an acceptable vessel to put such mods on?

I believe, in general, the cost of modules you fit to your ship should be comparable to the ship's cost. For example, fitting a 450 mil faction invulnerability field to a Merlin makes no sense - the slight benefit you receive on that ship wouldn't justify the price. On the other hand, fitting the same faction invulnerability field to a Wyvern would be worth it, because it provides a significant benefit over Tech2 on that ship.

Supercaps, Titans, Alliance Tournament ships and space piñatas.
