You don't need them... piracy isn't about "good fights" or "PvP"... it's about catching a helpless hauler on a lowsec gate and having an iteron on standby to scoop the loots. It's about running when you don't know if you can win. It's no place for heros. One of my fav fits is a drake w/ no tank, 3 disruptors, sensor boosted to hell w/ jamming drones so I can run away if anyone tries to fight back.

Now this i can agree to wholeheartedly.

Hence the code part in which i've noticed many people tie to honor and not the wallet

Pirating is easy. get a couple of buddies together in hard hitting tankless ships that can near instalock web and scram with a scout on the other side of the gate in a chokepoint thats somewhat active. From there it comes down to kill the ship hope for pod. ransom pod if caught. grab loot. get off gate. wash rinse repeat. If the scout/alt sees a group coming for you. dock the hell up and ride the storm out

I treat pirates in Eve like I treat rowdy frat boys in any setting. I ignore and avoid them before laughing at their stupidity behind their backs with my friends over our smug coffee.

Issue is that for every intelligent player that avoids their camps theres always at least one that doesnt understand piracy and gets popped for letting their guard down. And another thing. I'm pretty sure the standard frat boy doesnt have a gun on them at parties Big smile

200 Mio is far to much to ask for a young charakter like yours. We would probably ransom you for 50 millions and as everyone knows WE ALWAYS HONOUR ransoms.
BUT
For someone being as vulgar and rude in a convo like you, there is generally no ransom.

Everything this guy said ^

It's a numbers game. Nothing personal. If you're smart enough to avoid the camp good on you, you're already too much trouble.

You're welcome to join my corp. We take anyone. We're in null sec atm though, so you'd be getting thrown in the deep end and your reputation is toast if you join. Will do more low sec stuff and actually recruit in early summer though, so stay tuned. Big smile

That's silly. It never huts to ask for a ransom. Pirate ...but it always hurts to honor them.

There's no details. Apply and we accept. No tax, no rules, no problem. Not many active atm. Have trained many, as soon as they were making billions they robbed the corp and dropped. That's "stressful training" imho. All of them are good pirates and welcome back. You just can't shoot another member... that's the only rule. You can rob or scam them though, that's up to you. You'll build your own rep. We're in Fountain right now and it's a ship blender, but if you can make it there you can make it anywhere in eve. We're in fountain b/c a RL friend of mine decided to finally play eve, and I WAS training him, but he's an insainly dedicated gamer and is already better at PvP than me and is terrorizing fountain. There's lots to hit and lots to learn, but first and foremost it'll be up to you to gleen these skills and start thinking in pirate terms. It's a raw deal but we'll help... so just apply and we'll take you. That's the deal. We can move as much stuff as you need to fountain, but the jump freighter only goes about once a month unless there's a good reason to do more.

That's the deal. Apply and you're in. Some people quit right away when they realize there's no hand holding. Up to you. You'll be making over a billion a month with minimal effort in a month though. You'll also make lots and lots of enemies. Big smile

Carebears with negative secstatus.

isnt that a violation of some pirate code or something? i always heard if you r a pirate you honor your ransom price. but then again it seems highly unlikely

you mean these kids playing "badasses" know about some legendary pirate codes? They only know 1 pirate - "Jack Sparrow" Cool

It's more about the money than the reputation. Killing pods after getting isk for a ransom makes you much less in the long run when people hear about you. and yes word does actually spread in eve...

this is strategy level. I suppose most of EVE players can't work with such complex planning.

Well you have to know who to pay and more importantly who not to pay. VETO. is an example of a corp I would pay ransom rather than having to spend time building a new clone. And there are many like them.
