When you make 1.4 billion (and more occasionally) a week, it's more a punch to the gut than "Oh-my-god they just burnt the house down!".

So it looks like most of the replies are from people who have inadvertently scammed THEMSELVES...lol

Well, I haven't been scammed yet and I'm too paranoid for it to happen. There's no such thing as a good deal, not in EVE and not in RL.

Haven't been scammed yet. While playing the market I forgot to add a decimal to the buyout price and ended up paying 32mil in fees.

i was led by a treacherous rat into a trap, blew up my pve fit mega, i had tons of money so i didn't care, paid his "new" corp 500 million to kill him in his mos expensive ship and and contract his corpse to me, i jetcanned the corpse and blew it up for a laugh.

Bought a Prototype Iris Probe launcher in Jita. When I discovered that they spawn every time you repackage/assemble your Zephyr, I put it right back up in contracts and got my ISK back.

On a side note, I once saw a completed contract, where a guy had managed to purchase a Phoenix for 56 mil.

This was back when the Phoenix both sucked more balls than it currently does and minerals were cheap as dirt, so my guess is the guy was planning to sell it for 560 mil (absurdly cheap anyway) and gave it away cheaper.

Had a LG pirate implant set. Went to Jita for the second time in my EVE life. Advertised the contract for a few minutes then got a bite. He said he wanted to use a trade window..

I had no idea.

I once bought worth of exotic dancers, and self destructed the hauler they were in.
