I wonder if the person posting the image to Imgur had permission to copy and publish? Does noone respect copyright these days?

API key is the most over-rated bit here.
Especially trying to demand full API.
As is security deposit.

Asking for Full API Keys or security deposits are the fastest way to turn off good people. Followed closely by recruitment essays.
Full API says to me you think I'm a dumb ass spy. Skills/Wallet API, by all means, you need to check funds and skills, that I support.
Security Deposit. you think I'm a poor AWOX'er who cares about 500 Mil. If I was a real AWOXer, I do more damage than that the very first ship I kill. And expects me to trust you aren't going to just scam me for 500 Mil also.
Essay & off site forums, time I don't want to spend. Coms, I'll do for ops, so reasonable asking me to show I have them set up, but again, often not wanting to use coms

Coming from a longtime recruiter:

1. http://evewho.com/
2. Evekill
3. Check api journal for player trades/donations.
4. Check skill list, if he says he is a miner and cant fly a t1 barge, he needs to do some explaining.
5. Search forums for posts by that player and his alts - this will find character trades.
6. Talk to the guy at least once, you will get a sense of whether hes trying to bullshit you or not.
7. Check past corps (I personally do not care about corp history as much as most people.)
8. If they do join, 2-3 weeks trial period minimum. During this time if they have 0 activity they are either an alt or someone who you don't want in your corp.

Heh try that API stuff or forum stuff on me.

corps that want you on voice chat if you're logged in to the game, that's the problem i have.

You should tell us who does this, that corp deserves to be publicly rediculed.

Actually this was really common. The motto (not just in EvE BTW) is: "if you are online, you are on comms". And IRC. And [place here something redundant].

Not to mention the always-on ICQ, MSN or Jabber account (whatever is in fashion these days, trying to reinvent YAWC BBS poorly), so that the PFY FC in New York can summon you to a mandatory CTA while you're half way through your work day, and put up with his ranting and passive-aggressive posts on the forums about people who refuse to turn up for "important" CTAs without good reason.

1.We will need first and last names of all your family members’ pets’ spouses and children including all social security #’s.

2. What type of car they drive (It it’s a prius then they are too big a wimp to play eve anyways).

3.We will also need current and past addresses all college transcripts (If they didn’t goto college then they aren’t smart enough to play eve just kidding) a current photo of all members of your family.

4.We will also need a blood test and urinary analysis test results (I stayed up all night practicing for my drug test) That reminds me I walked into my daughters school this morning and I saw a sign that said DRUG FREE ZONE I was pissed they weren’t handing out free drugs what a rip-off.

5.We also require finger print identification and pupil scans before you join our corp.

6.We also test you for STD’s especially if you have had contact with any goons recently.

I think that should suffice for now.

I like how, when you posted this, you were in Caldari Provisions; the NPC Corp.

to be honest, i have no issue with text based comms. they aren't obstructive or get in your way like voice comms do. with voice you have to be listening 24/7 or you may as well not be on there, and if i'm listening to that 24/7 then i can't do what i want to do while i play, be it chilling out to music or watching a show.

with text you send out a message that makes one sound, once, and then if it's important and i need to know more i can jump on to voice comms. so simple.

you're more than welcome to look at my corp history, it's not that long.
it was always the ever so subtle "there are x people online in corp and only y people on TS" comments in corp chat every so often, it'd be amusing if it wasn't tragic.

Whats even more sad is they usually go all defensive when you point out there is nothing positive to get out of you being on comms when there is no group activity going on.

You know, I think it goes without saying but:

>show info
>corporation history

Come on people stop letting the dirty awoxers onto your in progress mining ops. It was pretty funny reading about them for the first dozen times or so but now....

They look at these things, but it doesn't help them - they're simply not bright enough to work out the risk to themselves, and very very desperate for people to play the game with.

I've had people directly ask about green-on-green kills on battleclinic before, still accept the app, still answer questions about when the "orca supported" OP will be. In one hilarious case, I told the CEO I didn't have the skills to mine so he suggested "my alt" and I turn up in a combat ship for "security."
Wiping out their 10-man mining fleet whilst telling them "your security is failing you pretty badly right now" is one of my top10 experiences I've had in Eve.

tl;dr - you can't help these people. The CEO of any one of these corps simply wants to be the CEO and has exactly zero concept of how to do his job. Killing them and anyone foolish enough to join these types of corps is Darwinism in action. Oh, and it's really ******* fun.
