Necromendes, I agree with you in general.

CCP seems to keep a lot of things secret. Some I can understand, many I don't.

As an example: People aren't supposed to hang around rookie hatcheries dropping cans with enticing names so they can gank hour old players. If I'm not mistaken, that is in the EULA, and a bannable offense. But, when I asked them to define 'New player system', they refused. I asked because of a particularly annoying person who got a few kills while I was there starting up a new character. (No, he didn't get me.)

If you really want to get mad, read the CSM 7 December Meeting Notes to see what CCP really thinks of us.

Hell, who asked you for this dumb thread ?? O_o

Who forced you to read it?

EDIT: I'm not sure why so many people feel it is necessary to respond to threads that they don't like or care about. especially if the response adds nothing to the thread. Why not just move along instead?

It's easier and cheaper for a game company like CCP to ignore game documentation when a willing community will take the time (which they're paying $$$ for, but I digress) to "figure out" something, slap it into a blog or "wiki" entry, and see what happens. That's why I personally have no problem with people who find and make use of an exploit in game code. Spank a paying customer because you choose not to provide clear documentation of what's allowed and what's not is just ludicrous.

Once again: do not mistake CSM for democratic council which can change things.

CSM is just a method for CCP to stabilize null and low sec alliances to avoid monetary/subscription losses in case of alliance leaders quitting for other games - by bribing them with free trips to Iceland.

firstly, its "griefer" not "griever". and stuff like can flipping isn't, and wasn't, griefing.

on your complaints...

1) just because you don't know how to read the information presented to you doesn't mean its not presented right. if you are referring to what I think you are, then that "-100% range bonus" is referring to how the script REMOVES the range bonus from the module in favor of doubling the tracking bonus. I don't see whats confusing about this.

2) as said, pretty sure it does tell you. and additionally the lack of speceficity is likely the result of the particular notice you refer to being from before there were jump clones and any NEED to specify.
also, .... what "updating your clone" would be referring to jump clones? theres no updating of jump clones to be done. the only updating of clones that applies, is medical clones. again, this is not that obscure.

3) whats the problem exactly? things change.

4) ... what?

5) considering that the gate guns don't definitely kill you like concord does, its still pretty lawless.

6) I remember there at least used to be a pop up when you were about to loot a contraband item. is it slaves in particular that this is not the case? but anyway, as said, its part of learning. its not a big deal.

why all the fuss?

I can't remember.....

Are you the guy that was AFK hauling everything you owned in a hauler, and got blown to pieces by Caldari Faction Police because you were also hauling contraband items?

You were mad because 'you weren't hauling contraband' and people pointed out that "slaves" are contraband.....

But, no, it wasn't your fault because "you get slaves in missions."

Your continued ranting turned the thread into troll bait and it got locked just when it was getting hilarious.

Sure, I think the ISDs are mostly turds, and the main contributing cause of the EVE-O forums' death spiral.

But you are the wrong kind of person to spread this message. Sorry.

What the hell does that sentence mean?

They expect you to read webpages about game mechanics that you don't want to read but you would read the exact same amount of information if it had a CCP tag on it?

A manual? On what...human interactions? Buddy, you may as well ask them for the meaning of life...you may want to try reading Crowds and Power by Canetti, The Wretched of the Earth by Fanon and anything by Carl Jung,...let me know when you're done with that and I'll give you your next volume of the "manual".

The problem is that if they do this then the technically correct descriptions, with orthographical and grammatical flaws, will turn into utter bullsh1t written in the finest Oxford English.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Everything you NEED to know is well explained, by CCP. The Rookie Help Channel is there for any other questions you may have.
If you just do research yourself, you will find ALL the answers you need, without a single out of game website. Everything you need to know is either on the EVE wiki, or in dev blogs etc.

Yes, that is a very good site but my point is that it should not be 100% players explain to players. It's CCP's job not anyone else. These loyal fans does not get salary from CCP, those snobbish ISD does get salary from Eve.

This has to be a troll thread cause i have never ever read someone whine about things so much,,,,,this is not the type of game where they hold your hand, if your looking for that then your in the wrong game.

Maybe your looking for one of them "101" games, I hear they explain everything for you, even have purdy pictures.

EvE is a sandbox game where you are catapulted inside an universe with your satchel and shovel. It's meant to be so, because those who want to play a sandbox game like to discover what they can do with their satchel and shovel, not being told what to do.

EvE is (was?) an unknown universe full of mysteries and curious things to discover... and you want them to be all nicely written and take away all the fun??????

I will tell you what, EvE has even too much documentation. When I play my other sandbox MMO that is so small that there's no web pages or manual, THEN I get a feeling of "exploring the unknown" because there are many things that nobody playing it has a clue about where they are or how to get there. Then it's just you with your shovel and the unknown.....

... and you know what? It's FUN.

TL: DR he didn't pay attention at all during the tutorial and didn't bother reading the new player guide on the main eve site and this is all CCP's fault because they did not cave his skull in by beating him to death with the game mechanics manual as soon as he signed up.

No manual in the world helps, if one is unable to simply use google and read tutorials/guides ...

I bet even that logic is way beyond you ...
