..Procedures?

Mine would be:

  1. Check forums to see if character has been bought / sold
  2. Make sure they are on comms
  3. Get them to submit their API key.

Coming from a longtime recruiter:

1. http://evewho.com/
2. Evekill
3. Check api journal for player trades/donations.
4. Check skill list, if he says he is a miner and cant fly a t1 barge, he needs to do some explaining.
5. Search forums for posts by that player and his alts - this will find character trades.
6. Talk to the guy at least once, you will get a sense of whether hes trying to bullshit you or not.
7. Check past corps (I personally do not care about corp history as much as most people.)
8. If they do join, 2-3 weeks trial period minimum. During this time if they have 0 activity they are either an alt or someone who you don't want in your corp.

it really depends on the type of corps you run, but Yutte checklist is the basic one!

Also for posts about that player and his alts. Not all publicity is good.

So, someone running his business, away for business etc that can't be there but for about 1mth or 2 every whatever period of time, should stay in NPC corporations and it's someone you/no one should want?

With all due respect, but point 8 in Yutte's list does not state that at all. To play devil's advocate though, if you join a corp and disappear immediately afterwards without letting anyone know that you are unavailable due to RL business for a couple of weeks then you're not likely someone the corp is going to want anyway. A simple EVE Mail message is all that is needed - and that's something you don't need to be in-game to compose and send...

1.We will need first and last names of all your family members’ pets’ spouses and children including all social security #’s.

2. What type of car they drive (It it’s a prius then they are too big a wimp to play eve anyways).

3.We will also need current and past addresses all college transcripts (If they didn’t goto college then they aren’t smart enough to play eve just kidding) a current photo of all members of your family.

4.We will also need a blood test and urinary analysis test results (I stayed up all night practicing for my drug test) That reminds me I walked into my daughters school this morning and I saw a sign that said DRUG FREE ZONE I was pissed they weren’t handing out free drugs what a rip-off.

5.We also require finger print identification and pupil scans before you join our corp.

6.We also test you for STD’s especially if you have had contact with any goons recently.

I think that should suffice for now.

Nothing up front. Any char information is really NA as far as who the player actually is. So recruit anyone and everyone but keep them on limited access to any corp assets and out of the loop re any sensitive ops until you have an idea of who the player is. Dreddit requires 3 or 6 months participation on their forums iirc. That seems about right to me.

agreed. communication is key. i think (nearly) all corporations will understand that there is something called real life. and stuff happens that interferes with spaceships. i know, i dont get it either, but still.

I don't recruit people from channels/local/ads. We randomly convo people we kill (especially brand-new ones) and see how they feel about being killed.

If they handle it maturely, they are worth the time to recruit. We don't give roles, so the only thing he could do is murder our own people, but have fun taking out t1 fitted t1 Vexors for a day.

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

I'm presuming this means you recruit them if they spam gay pornography on your forums. Lol
