I am thinking that it would be really cool if we could redeem 30 day plex cards for the eve market place..

This was suggested in the "PLEX 4 PIZZA" thread a couple of months ago.

I totally agree and I thin a few people would be happy to trade a plex or two for T shirst or a couple of posters. Especially if their making space bank.

How would that work as far as the tax man goes? The government wont take 10% VAT in in game credits.

CCP would have to provide a way to convert in game currency into RL currency and then exchange for items like tshirts and mugs. Converting in game currency back into RL currency would cause many many issues for CCP and will not happen under any conditions, CCP have more to lose.

There are other ways to achieve the same result...

You do know plex starts outside the game, right...

This would be like treating plex like a voucher. Someone bought each and every plex that is on the market either from CCP or from a licenced retailer. There's your taxable transaction.
They already do it. Remember last year when they were trading plex for graphics cards or every year when you can get tickets to fanfest.

The plex is already taxed for starters.. I think this would be a great idea and help raise the prices of Plex, WHen that goes up CCP will make more money as more people will buy then sell plex on the market. THen others will buy the plex convert it to merch(mug or t-shirt).

It would be a fun addition to eve.
