I don't care what roles they play, but no matter what, you have to have Allison Scagliotti, Gary Busey, Bill Shatner and Kevin Bacon.

Zazzmatazz (the actor) - I have no idea what he looks like but I'm thinking they can't possibly go wrong with Tim Curry.

I really like the idea of Liam Neeson playing Sansha Kuvakei, I'd LOVE to see Gary Oldman and Eric Avari playing Gallente politics (that could be a movie in itself), and Cate Blanchett would make a great Aura. Also "I've had it with these motherfucking slavers on this motherfucking 'cane!"

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

No director yet? Well I think we can eliminate Michael Bay from the lineup of potentials--too many explosions and not enough cool factor beyond skin-deep. Probably also not James Cameron either, for the same reasons.

If we want someone who can make an exciting high-budget movie that is also deep and memorable, howabout Rob Cohen? (Dragonheart, xXx, The Fast and The Furious)
Or perhaps Ridley Scott? (Alien, Blade Runner, Blackhawk Down)

Yeah, Bay does decent choreographed action, and Baysplosions™, but that's about it.

I think we're going to have to go with Ridley, tbh P

Sunshine was neat as a cult classic, but I think Danny Boyle is a few feet short of a task as epic as we're talking. Making a movie about a topic that is epic isn't the same as crafting a movie that IS epic.

Martin Scorsese is a possibility, maybe. I'm not that familiar with his films, but the ones I have seen were pretty mindblowing.

I like Cate Blanchett as Aura but I think that Liv Tyler might play the role better.
