Well for one thing, if you're gonna mine in highsec, you're gonna need a mining permit to keep from getting ganked and podded. You can purchase one good for a whole year for only 10 million ISK from one of our accommodating agents. See www.minerbumping.com for details. ;)

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

I find that if I am out with my Mackinaw I do about 6m ISK per cargo hold (atter refining).

PLEX has come down a bit but let's assume that it's higher than it is at 600m ISK.

So, if you did four ore holds a day, every day, then you can mine for a living. Easy enough in Empire.

How fast and how many and what?

And what fitting u have :)

I can harvest atm aprox near 4k pyro in 3 min
and 2 ice in 156 sec

processing ore is near max so I earn 10-15m p/h but I'm mostly afk so I do ice it goes much lower money aprox 5-7m p/h

last i checked you could fill a mack in 20-25 mins, so you could easily be making 10m+ per hour. 60 hours mining for a plex, 2hrs per day. really isn't much. especially when you can be making dinner, or watching your favourite tv show while doing it.

Yes, but I don't worry about what I have too much, but it's tfairly bog standard fit

[Mackinaw, HiSec]

2x Modulated Strip Miner II (Pyroxeres Mining Crystal II)

Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Shield Recharger II
EM Ward Field II

2x Mining Laser Upgrade I

2x Medium Core Defense Field Extender I

5x Hobgoblin II

I am not an optimum miner because I may miss the rock running out for a few minutes so I don't concern myself with ISK/hour.

But I do note that, as I say, four ore holds a day would pay for itself. When I am mining that;s all that I am concerned about; get out there and get my quota.

Being all hung up on ISK/hr doesn't come into it when you're mining; if it takes four ore loads a day then it takes four ore loads a day and that's that.
