What to do in game when you're a team of two?

Hi,

I used to play eve alone, and i focus on missions and trading.
Some weeks ago I find out an old friend of mine also plays eve.

Now we want to do something that both can enjoy but i don't know what.
Another problem is the fact that we play only 2 or 3 hours a day ( a bit more on weekends).
Tried Wormholes: Altough we can deal easily with sleepers, pvp is not our thing (perhaps because we suck at it..)
Tried Exploration in high-sec: It's nice but with 2 or 3 hours a day we spend most of the time scanning for.

I was hoping you guys can suggest some things for a two-guys-team to play.

thanks.

Incursions? A race around the universe? PVP each other to train for PVP against others, a small 2-man gang.

It's scary how the internet has ruined my imagination.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Incursions will take hour(s) just to get into a fleet. Faction warfare is more suitable in this case (equip warp stabs to avoid PvP and do defensive plexing).

Get a couple of really good ships and then scan down a wormhole.

Then go in and blitz the sleepers etc.

Live in a wormhole c1 or c2 class. PvP or mission run. Become a mini Indy corp. scam people. Few options out there.

This started out good advice, until the apart about d plexing with stabs. Follow that advice if you want to have no fun in EVE. Plexing is only fun when looking for a fight, other wise you just sit and watch a timer tick down, very boring. In my ever so humble opinion two people is the perfect size of a PvP fleet. Fly around FW lowsec and you will find similar sized gangs to fight.

Go there and do a PvP-Basic course. If you can't afford the iskies then somer.blink will pay for you.

Best way I know to work out whether you actually like PvP as you get the basics explained on a class and then the next day do a roam. I speak from experience when I say its better (and a lot faster) than working this stuff out on your own.

You and your friend should go give it a try on the same class, see what you think about what you want to do afterwards.

Others can advise better on PvE/industry stuff.

I like this idea! Form two one-man corporations, name one Blue Man and the other Red Menace. Put headquarters of each corp in systems a couple of systems apart. Perma-war dec each other and fight in inexpensive ships, but no podding and no ECM. Call it Red vs Blue.

The same things you can do as one person with one alt. You both need to be working at the very limits of control in terms of number-of-alts if you want to actually make it worthwhile to work together.

thanks.

Lowsec sites are great fun and the isk is better than highsec. With a trusted scout you can use a pretty expensive ship to clear the sites. And 2 of you scanning you’ll find plenty of them.

Lowsec PI is a lot more profitable than high, and again with a scout its pretty foolproof to move around.

W-space really opens up to a team because the extra guy can fly around and keep an eye on the locals.

I have yet to see a titan, you guys could work together to make that happen for yourselves.

You could do scavenger hunt races against one another, see who can mine a certain amount of each different type of ore.

Or have races to see who can get blown up in 3 or 4 different systems, or by 3 or 4 different alliances. Or just try to make it to Goon or Test base system.

You could each park in a tradehub and price check for one another, prolly make good isk with a realtime trade partner like that.

You could infiltrate a corp with the plan of stealing their stuff.

Try to gank afk miners, its tougher than it seems if you’ve only been on the receiving end.

You could both start new chars and role-play space explorers starting from scratch.

The problem with Eve is that people get option paralysis when faced with unlimited options. Starting new chars with an intended purpose limits the scope of what you can do and may help to spur ideas.

You could devote yourself to ruining one of your factions. I personally have no need to ever go back to Caldari space so I don’t mind taking faction kill missions against them. They are a great change of pace if you have been avoiding them.

So many players get hung up on making ISK, try not to fall into that trap. You don’t need the ISK and there’s a ton of content that is great fun to pursue even if there’s no money in it.

Almost every thing in Eve is more fun with friends. Have fun o/
