Hello there good ppls of EvE

So ive started on lvl 2 missions (solo) im currently able to fly minmatar cruiser, wich i have almost all core support skills to fly the Rupture, ive fitted it with arty and armortank with 2xprototype energized plates but the one problem i keep having is actually knowing wich rat i will meet on the missions to fit resist plates accordingly. Do i have to physically go to the place and see the info every time or is there a "keyword" of some kind that will give it away in the mission description? because sometimes i cant seem to find it there, sometimes i do.

I currently run missions in caldari space for Expert housing and spacepatrol in the same system, so i can run up to 5 missions at a time there.

Oh and i am also considering going for Caldari cruiser and maybe switch focus from Minmatar, but im not sure if that is worth it? im mainly going to do missions as that is what i currently like to do.

When ever you are offered a mission it will give you the objectives (the screen where you accept the missions).

In those objectives it states where the mission will be and what you should do.
It will also show a small icon (logo) of the faction you are going to meet, it's quite small, but like anything in EVE you can right click it and select show info for a new screen which faction it is.

If there is no icon:

* Rogue Drones (don't belong to any faction).
* Mercenaries (don't belong to one either).
* No shooting involved

EVESURVIVAL.COM is a missioners best friend but look at the middle of the right side an icon should have the emblem of what if any faction it is.

If im not mistaken some wont have the logo because its a mix of different ones..like.. say you have gallente in one room and angels in the next.

Im not 100% sure on this one tho so someone would have to clarefy.
But as Piugattuk mentioned there are sites that will tell you what to expect when you enter a mission that are very detailed and will tell you what damage to fitt for.
