Station NPC ownership changes with faction ownership. No more shall the pristine Amarr be denegrated into docking in a Minmatar station that they now, supposedly, 'own'. Nor shall the mighty Minmatar be soiled by placing foot in a slaver owned station which rightfully (for the time, anyways) belongs to the Just.

Expanding Factional Warfare to include high-sec ownership changes for the faction. I mean, why do the empires agree to limit their fighting to specific systems when they're at war? It's war! Let the Minmatar plow through to Jita and claim all those wonderful trade taxes (and confuse those poor traders who've trained up those Caldari standings (see earlier post about station ownership ;))! The poor, betrayed Caldari can now bring the fight to those hypocritical Gallente and strike at Villore (or Gallente Prime for a bit more visibility).

Those poor pirate factions. So many fans and groupies, but no way to formally count them or show them gratitude with a standard to wave about as the spread the good news. The grand Guristas have had stagnent sovereignty for so long and their Rattlesnakes are bursting at the seams to expand territory, let it be so!

FW is essentially a CONCORD-regulated Potemkin war, though it would be a nice development of the stagnant FW storyline for that to go off the rails and the Empires to actually go at it full force. Have FW affect system security status and NPC taxes depending upon who is winning the war.

---
Consider modular system upgrades, along the lines of the FW cynojammer (but without the 1hr timer) i.e. require a certain upgrade level before you can anchor it. It'll give the desperate battleship and capital pilots something to do.

Remove pirate frigates from Novice Plexes.
Max LP payouts for kills regardless of warzone control.
Unique LP store for each miliita (doesn't even need to be that big, so long as you're not sharing 95% of the stuff with every highsec mission runner and the other militias). Also, some items seriously need their tag costs reduced/eliminated.

Expanding on the faction warfare conquering high-sec, also allow for the factions (including pirate factions) to conquer any system (except worm-holes as there's no sov there).

So Serpentis could start conquering some regular 0.0 from NPC 0.0 (it's still conquered by players, not NPCs, just the main "corps" are NPC instead of entirely player) while the Guristas start spreading into low-sec and some high-sec (probably even changing the security status, but maybe not, TBD). The Amarr could now, truly, conquer Providence as CVA has long idealized. Or they could try, though the Minmatar might try to beat them there first. ;)

This may sound like an off the wall idea but, why not consider offering a choice when a new account is created (as opposed to an alt on an existing account) that the new player can go the standard route or plunge directly into faction warfare (after a short tutorial on FW rules).

Those that choose to plunge right into FW would receive a Navy rookie ship with small extra bonuses and would be able to pvp from day one. This might cause more militant minded new players to avoid getting stuck in the hi-sec "tar pit" that everyone complains about.

Would be nice if when you entered enemy high sec space, you gained the suspect flag.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Take a look at the numbers that show minmatar have surpassed caldari in the number of pilots. What accounts for this?

What was the breakdown as far as players just joining the militia of their race pre and post inferno? How has this changed since the economic incentives were added?

How much isk worth of items has each faction received from their respective lp store since inferno?

Consider whether it is really a good idea to have no economic counterbalance to prevent the winning side from snowballing.

How many systems are flipping per month compared to when we had the more dynamic cashout system and no lp for defensive plexing?

What potential increase in the eve playerbase does ccp think can happen through impovements to faction war?

Is the idea still to have this a stepping stone to null sec through station lockouts and winner takes all approach?

Or is the idea make this its own career that is just as legit as null sec, but with the idea of more frequent pvp and less computer game politics?

I asked a few other questions of hans here:

re: CSM minutes
Having players take over for the faction navy would be good if the opposing militia went suspect in the wrong space. Perhaps that's too far of a stretch, but there should be a major consequence for invading the other militia's territory, especially in high sec.

Still hate the idea of the timer being on the overview. There's already too much free intel in the overview. The system name in the FW tool should flash when an offensive timer is being run. There could even be another column added with the number of plexes being run at the time.

I think the LP stores should be changed such that they really have only faction items and FW specific items. FW only boosters that only work in FW systems for example.

The timer should return when empty.

NPCs should spawn more than once to stop the plopping of alts in the plex while the main goes to the next.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
