Odd Food

This is a little too close to the "Eggs" thread for my taste (hoho) but I just ate something a bit weird. It's something that I have to eat once every now and then or I feel like something is missing.

3x Pork loin steaks, absolutely grilled to extinction (so that the fat is charred and yumptious)
1x small pond of Bisto chicken gravy
1x That was it - no accompanying waste of time vegetables or anything

Oh my god it is to die for.

When I was slightly younger I would eat this:

4x sliced white bread, buttered
30 seconds in the microwave
1x Origami skills - f you folded them right you could fold the whole slice of bread into something an inch square. Got a bit messy with the butter but that was part of it.

I used to marvel at my ability to get a meal into 4 mouthfuls. To be honest I am still pretty amazed.

Anyone else have any weird eating habits? Any meals that you shouldn't eat but you still love making on the sly?

Whenever I make eggs. I draw lines on the eggs with a sharpie so that they look like pods.

and then I do a re-enactment scenario of the last time I got podded. Which ultimately ends with me cracking the egg(s) into the pan. /w sound effects.

Spaghettios and chili/beans straight from the can. No cook time or anything. APPARENTLY I'm considered weird by most friends and coworkers because I don't bother to even cook it but for some reason I like the taste. Picked up the habit from camping. Usually we throw the can in the fire for 5 minutes but every now n then we just didn't give a ****.

I can atest to this. But for me its some weird german canned hamburgers in onion gravy. Ive never tasted something so good after being on MREs for ages.

If only we could tap this ability and market it.

But then people might just explode from being so fat.

Then again i kinda like MREs. Oops

Rice with canned sardines or canned mackerel. The sardines have to be the ones in oil, not tomato sauce. On the side, soy sauce with sliced hot chilis and saturated with salt. I ate that almost every day for two years in the Peace Corp in Micronesia (Caroline Islands). Got pretty sick of it then, it's pretty tasty once in a while now. I have to eat it by myself, nobody in the family wants to share that meal with me. Smile

I can well believe it. My Dad used to live above a fresh fish shop. When I went to school the playground would part like the Red Sea - probably because I smelled like the Red Sea!

Still can't eat fish to this day! What?

when i was little i loved to eat cold hot dogs straight out of the fridge. i was too awesome to bother with things like ketchup, mustard...bun.......heat.

I once made a Bologna, banana, peanut butter, and chocolate sandwich and loved it. Something about the odd Bologna taste mixed with the sweetness of the Hershey's chocolate syrup that made it an amazing combination.

I go well with Quafe...

Be more specific... what kind of jam, what kind of cheese?

What kind of crackers? Saltines? Ritz?
