Ok so it seems like the Meta 4 ECCM module is slightly better than the T2 variant... (less fitting, less cap, same effect)

but the T2 costs like 1.5mil, while the meta 4 is 50k or so.

What gives? Is there something I'm missing with the T2 ?

Abundant supply from rat drops caused most meta 4 item prices to crash last year. Now some of them have recovered a bit and are on price level with T2, but still far from their former glory.

Which means in many cases fitting T2 items simply makes no sense at all, since they also burn out faster than meta 4.

If people were not so hot after the T2 tag purely out of ignorance, T2 manufacturers of many common items would be in serious trouble.

The same applies to T2 shield power relays

I think it also applies to the adaptive nanoplating (not the energized variety)

Oh wow this is news to me, I always thought ANP II was better. But I guess there's less advantage using M4 for this module cause the price is the only difference.

And ECM, and tackle, painters, damps, TDs, neuts, NOS, MLUs, CPRs, and many more.

As for why T2 is so expensive.... Well, T2 items are actually non-trivial to create. They have serious costs associated with them (both in the invention process and the manufacturing process). Meta 4s, on the other hand, come from gun mining. Which is pretty quick and cheap -- it just doesn't provide a predictable stream of items.

Many mid-slot modules and engineering-based modules are better as the meta 4 and cheaper than their T2. Many.

You're welcome.

T2 costs moon-goo. Price reflects their material cost, not their functional capacity.

THIS!

All you other tards go to bed. Most people don't check the difference between M4 and T2 and therefore just buy T2 by habit. But T2 Material cost is more then 30 times higher then what you get for salvaging a M4 item.
