Retool the RORQ... For Highsec

Make the Rorq Available for Use in highsec, I mean its an Industrial ship.... What is the purpose of restricting it to 0.0 and lowsec where it is rarely if ever used? I've played eve for 10 years and been all over 0.0, and I think I've seen maybe 5 in 10 years actually being used. CVA uses one so does -7-, Pandemic used one, and I've seen razors. But each of these allaince only ever have 1 Rorq it seems, and I have only ever seen 1 in lowsec. Parked at a POS.

This ship is great and it needs to see more use allow for it to be used in Highsec so it can get the love it deserves.

Personally I would love to have one of these, and my indy character can fly one, but I never have a reason to buy him one as when I am in a 0.0 Allaince they have a RoRq pilot and don't need more then 1. And there is really no point to them in lowsec unless your a large lowsec allaince which does industry (yea lols fat chance).

So in my opinion, it needs to be retooled for Highsec Use. Or hell keep it the way it is and remove the restriction off it.

Empire by and large has at least 1 station per system to drop off ore....low and null the rorq can compress for prolonged mining ops in stationless systems. Why its not needed in empire. If orca is not good enough, bring 2 of them lol.

Was the 1 parked rorq in low sec wating for cans worth its time or did you watch a system for hours with miners in 0.0?

I was in a 0.0 corp with a moderately decent mining base. You rarely saw the rorqs in the wild because here is what they did.
Tthe hulks can mined and the rorq would come out every now and then to clean the cans once worth the effort. Then back off to the safe pos. Why have a cap be a sitting duck for a drive by roam with just one bubbler. Grab the cans and gtfo.

On the rorqual in general, they should be able to boost without deploying. On rorquals in high sec, bots want to come play too!

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Theres a lot of regions now days with stationless highsec systems, Hell there 2 right next to arera just 5 jumps out of amarr. and 4 around that one pipe into CVA space.

well i mean Bots will be around anyway, and they use orcas, so I mean I dont think it really matters, shouldn't let bots stop the rest of us from enjoying the game simply because they take advantage of things.

Its threads like this that really require eve forums to have a facepalm emote.

In lieu of that however:

Some of the dumbest threads in Eve made Eve what it is today once the ideas were implimented, It's people like you that remind me of religious fanatics who scream ITS TEH DEVIL, at an inovative technology.

really, youve already answered your own questions. and you havent given an explanation of why you think it needs to change.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

The best thing is that I think if you bring a guardian network and some triage carriers you might be able to keep a few titans parked in Jita for a very long time.

You have been looking in the wrong places i have seen tons of them in 0.0, for obvious reason they are inside POS shields but they are being used.

Also the bigger bonus should go to risky places in this case rorqual to 0.0/low-sec and orca to high-sec

The whole point is to have something that eases mining away from infrastructure. By compressing ore out in the boonies, you can mine more without having to refine everything. There's stations with refineries everywhere in empire, so there would be no benefit.

Besides you already have the orca. That's a perfectly fine mining oversight ship.

If you get to bring your rorqual into highsec then I want to bring my dreads and carriers.

I'm sure you'll agree it's only fair.

No, because the rorq is an Industrial Platform, not a comabt ship.

A carrier and Dread are combat only ships.

HOWEVER:

I am not Opposed to all caps being allowed back in high sec with the exception of Titans. Eve used to be like this, Then people started Abusing it. So CCP Restricted capitals to 0.0 and Lowsec.

You can't really Abuse a Rorq, Just like you really can't abuse an Orca, The only reason It isn't allowed in Highsec is because it was restricted because it is a "Capital". If it was reclassified as a Command Ship like the Orca, it would be allowed in Highsec.
