Faction Spawns Nerfed??

Hey Guys,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if faction spawns had been nerfed, I used to come out to null and roam the belts and find heaps of faction spawns along the way, now I have been out here 2 days and traveled threw 23 systems with god knows how many belts and not found a single one!

Probably gonna have to do a little more work than just warp to a belt to get a Faction NPC spawn.

I used to do this all the time with great success, I would encounter 3-4 faction spawns a night, this is the first time i have been out since the patch and was just wondering if it where the case.



And Zhilia Mann I am very familiar with Probability and randomness but cheers.

They very recently changed the way the server respawns belts after DT. Depending on when you farm, it may affect the odds of you seeing a faction or officer. After DT, less chance, before DT, much as it always was.

It would really suck ass if they changed the after DT chance of finding spawns as its the only good thing we (aussies) get since we have to put up with the DT during prime game time for us.

You used to get a lot of faction spawns after downtime. Because you probably crossed a lot of deserted systems where no one ratted the belts after downtime you would get those 'downtime faction spawns'. Since ccp fixed that recently you won't get as many faction spawns as you were used to. All theorycrafting though except that scanning the belts after downtime is no longer easy isk.

"Downtime can no longer be exploited to increase chances of finding a rare NPC spawn."

I don't think I really care that much. I remember setting up in Syndicate for a while to do this, but honestly I found it easier to find faction commanders by exploration, and exploration is pretty good before and after DT. I prefer overseers to officers, because they are simply easier to find, and in quite a few cases the best deadspace items are better than the worst officer items.

How can belt ratting at any time be considered an exploit. Silly CCP.

Do you wait 5 mins, an hour, 12 hours.

Anyway if it has been "Fixed"(tm) , no longer an issue

They are slowly seeding less faction i.e changing the way the spawn. Do you see free-for-play where u have to pay $$ for stuff in the future?

ccp is all about the money, dont ever think anything else.
