I'm personally not sure, but I now know the two are not the same.

Went to disable mine, apparently my Java has been disabled since the day i put it in Mozilla, lol.

Far as I know, it disables everything that isn't HTML until you tell it otherwise.

And don't forget to configure it properly too. The default is good, but it could always be better.
