I was hunting around autopiloting industrials with a friend of mine today.

I was in a rupture, he was in a scanning magnate fitted for cargospace.

We were moving around systems for at least 20 minutes,
as i dislike the idea of just sitting around like an idiot,
until the first member of RvB started taking notice of me.

Obviously ... i knew what was going to happen.

After the first gate i warped towards to,
it were already two RvB members after me.

I kept having time advantage of two or three seconds,
warping off the gates before they showed up.

After 6 or 7 jumps i arrived in a pipe system.
Bad idea. They camped both gates.
Their numbers increased to around 10 to 15 by now.

I know they love me. ^_^

"100 Million ISK and we let you get out"

Self confident as i am, and with the luck of my mate who
provided me intel, my only response was:

"100 Million ISK and i might let you catch me"

Unluckily enough, i had only a few minutes left before i had to log out
and go to work. I risked it and jumped out of the system,
being lucky that there was no one around anymore.

I warped to the next system, not seeing them,
but knowing though my mate, jorey606, that they were after me.

Well ... too bad ... i docked up and had to log out.
Work won't wait.

Fast forward four hours later.

I log in ... undock from that random station,
program my home system in the navigational computer and hit warp.

I jump ... warp to the next gate ... of course, always looking for the random idiot
worth being thought that highsec isn't safe enough to sit around.

Jump. Warp to the next gate.

I wait around 10 seconds. Sometimes, luck has it and somebody arrives just
before i jump through ... but nothing. As long as the faction police doesn't show up,
i really don't have to care anyway ... and luck sometimes ... just sometimes ... is on my side. ... xD

So i jump again ... warp ... until there comes this guy with the probably unluckiest day of his life.

If i hadn't been hunted by RvB today, i wouldn't have docked at that random station.
If i hadn't docked at that random station, i wouldn't have had to move back to my home system.
If i hadn't moved back to my home system, i wouldn't have waited these ten seconds in space.
Aaaand if i hadn't waited ... i would have missed that one shuttle warp off to the other gate,
carrying an autopiloting 4.7sec pod.

Thank you, RvB and jorey606, for indirectly helping ruining the day for this one unlucky sonofawitch,
who fell victim to what makes EvE so great.

I'm...almost...done...need a few more tears...

Quick, someone link a rage chat/mail!

I have a lover, her name is EVE. I see her every night and all she asks in return is that I have a pilot's license.

Ah yes. Another reason to always yell "Get the pod! Get the pod!".

Nice pod kill tho.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Wow, you killed a pod with a Rupture. I gape in awe. An absurdly expensive pod, to be sure. I can't even imagine flying around naked with five PLEX worth of implants. I guess I can applaud the Darwin Award lesson here at least.

But ... 0.7 system? Wardec or did you honestly feed a Rupture to CONCORD over a pod kill? Or was there some sort of magical CONCORD avoiding trick to this that I'm not seeing here? I've actually witnessed first hand your ability to treat faction navies like they don't even exist (which is impressive - I would have never believed that a -10.0 could hang out in front of a station in Hek for half an hour with no response from NPCs at all had I not seen it with my own eyes) so I can only guess as to whatever spells you keep in your book of tricks.

I'm also curious as to how it is that you know which pods are flying around with these high price tags and which ones are worthless. Is this something that shows up on ship scanners, or is there some other special trick to it?

The first sentences sound like you are making fun of me ... the rest not so much. Bit confusing.

No wardec. I really fed my rupture to CONCORD. My intuition told me to do it and it was right.

In general, after 700 pods i have noticed that pods with higher sec status tend to have expensive implants.
There is no trick behind it, just experience.

How i do it? I know game mechanics very well. You can join my corp and i can teach you not only how to survive and how to not rely on alts at all, but also how to fight people effectively as -10. ^_^ Without the need to hide, like all those noobs who need orcas or neutral alts.

Typing on a 4.3" tablet, sorry for weird mistakes i overlooked.

Nice Pod kill.

Baffled by the implants though. All I can work out is he flies a Rokh. With a mix of HM Launchers, miners and salvages. Snakes are because he loves mining so much he can get between roids quicker or perhaps haul his ore faster. HM's for rats, salvagers for wrecks obviously and the beancounter implant for selling his wares.

Maybe?

We should know.
