Low SP C1 - C2 is it feasable?

I have recently started to look at the possibility of solo day tripping for fun / isk ( the fun bit is more important :D ) I can fly gallente BC and have reasonable drone skills. After a a face melting experience in a C1 in a armor tanked brutex I thought to rethink my setup. My main problem Is that I got nuted to hell and after I ran out of cap boosters things when ugly. Otherwise I will be attempting to see how a duel rep myrm works out later tonight.

Now I could skill into a Drake and do it that way but I was wondering if there are any other races ships that would work. I accept that I probably will need a shield tanked ship to avoid the nuteing problem completely but if I could pull it off armor tanked I will.

Any Suggestions/ tips advice would be appreciated.

Passive tank and missiles sounds good to me.

To pull off an armour tank, I believe you need a T3 with capacitor regen matrix sub. Or something with capacitor/repair bonus.

Shield is really the easy way for this solo PvE stuff.

If you think about Amarr ships, they typically require tip-top core skills for them to really shine. IE - Fitting, gunnery, capacitor skills. So rule out Amarr pve ships.

Ishtar or Dominix for you perhaps.

About anything works in C1s, armor Myrm can solo C2s, just bring a lot of cap boosters. You can also fit a passive shield tank on Myrm nearly equal to the Drake.

Just get a Drake like everyone else

I moved into a C1 back when I was only 5 months into this game. My only combat ship was a Myrmidon. It wasn't the best but it worked.

Wormholes are definately possible on low SP toons. I've lived in W space ever since i was 2 months old. Just start off in the lower end WHs and work your way up. You can run any of the anoms in c1 space in any BC or assault frig.

Good luck!

Two of my trainees cleaned a wormhole with a Drake and a Ferox. They have two months of eve experience... both added up. So yes, its possible.

I kind of disagree if you're including a low SP Harbinger there.

I have had good luck armor tanking a hurricane. Just put on a cap battery to help with neuting. And you may have to warp off and rep cap and armor, but no biggie. You can be really passive with the armor repper with good enough resists and an armor plate. And be sparing on the AB. Catch 'em, web 'em and turn off ab.

SO any of the armor bc's should do the trick that way

well after some theory crafting I have come up with a myrm fit that should be able to handle all C1 sites and most C2 with proper trigger managment. I have yet to test it out in a real situation so far but I should have the time over the next few days.

Whilst training up to use a dirty drake, the myrmidon i used had the following, 3 ccc rigs 2 adaptive membranes, explo hardener, 2 med armour reps and a damage control. 3 cap re-chargers, painter and ab. Though an omni might be better if your drones skill outweigh you gunnery. then for highs 1 probe, use projectiles if cap is a big issue for you.

This kind of fit will tank 1bs and 2 cruisers but will struggle with 2bs, as you probably know sleepers love to share their love with your drones, and they just cannot handle all this ancient pent up love and explode. The second you see any ship go from red attacking to just locked on, recall your drones. If you don't you drones are about to be put down.

It works well enough if you want to stick to armour.

I tryed a C2 last night I tanked the first spawn fine. But the problem was trying to burn into range of the BS spawn. It hit me hard and my tank was at the point of Failing when I was 30km away.

as for a web I cant fit one without dropping a cap recharger. Then I would have to fit at least one tech 2 CCC to not gimp my tank or cap.

I think for the moment I will just stick to C1 holes unless I can get a buddy to go with me.
